The capacity for that stadium is 82,000 people. The game does move kind of slow - alternating between a minute of standing around followed by 10 seconds of organized chaos. American football is really a perfect sport for television.

College football is where it's at. Way better atmosphere with longstanding traditions. The NFL is best watched at home. You need to attend an LSU game with the full tailgating experience, eating cajun food with cajun people in late November (when it's not so hot). I think you would have a much better & more memorable experience. Then you will probably start to enjoy American football.

Going to a game is all about the experience. She's right, the food is too expensive and the people are very loud. I think you do get a better feel for what happening on your TV if you've been to at least one live game. Some stadiums have a steeper angle on the seating so that you can see even if people are standing. Michigan stadium is pretty good for that. She might enjoy a tailgate party more. You're at the game with your friends, you can still hear the stadium crowd but, the food and drinks are cheap and If you have a TV you can see and hear the game better.

But make sure it's a team that has been playing for a long time. All SEC (except Vandy) and Big 10 schools, most Big 12 schools, certain ACC (especially FSU) schools, and certain PAC schools (especially USC) have the best traditions.

Some of the college stadiums seat over 100,000 and sometimes the teams can't hear the signals being called on the field. But I do understand some of your comments. My first pro baseball game was so boring I would not have made it through it without the hotdogs and beer. I love how honest you are about these sorts of things-great job!

Baseball is my favorite sport. The main reasons for this: - The game is very simple to understand, and the rules are not super complicated - It has an amazing contrast of contest between team defense and loner offense. - It's relaxed and relaxing.

Don't feel bad, I am right there with you on the compounding negatives of a live football game (professional or college). TV experience is much better 😂 it is usually too hot or cold, windy, rainy, loud, uncomfortable seats, restroom waiting lines, expensive food...so you appear to have gotten the full experience! 😂😂😂

You should never pay for water. There are drinking fountains at each sports facility: pro or amateur. They're typically by the bathrooms. As for the screamers, they probably got too drunk before the game even started or they feel entitled to act obnoxious since they paid so much $ for the tickets or both. This can really kill the mood. My brother's been able to go & see the Arizona Cardinals and got disgusted by the excessive rowdiness. He'll never see a game there again. If you want to see action & be around a relatively polite audience, try a women's pro soccer game. I'd be glad to take you to a Portland Thorns match.

Don't feel bad, my thoughts are the same about the couple of games I attended. At home, I can control the environment and I have access to whatever foods I want, and the water tap is free. I do not have to fear catching anything from rude people and I can see all of the game. Then when I am tired, I can turn off the game and I am already home. No need to travel. You got to experience something new and that is what counts the most. Football is not for everyone. So glad you had a good time here in the USA. Please come again, you are always welcome. Maybe next time you will get the chance to experience true Texas BBQ.

It is very different than watching on TV with announcers and replay to help keep the flow going. In person you have to figure out what's going on, on your own, and not knowing the significance of "3rd and 4, down by 7, on the 50 yd. line", etc. Context of the game is huge, just like baseball. Too bad she couldn't get some 'tailgating' in before the game started - better food and not pay Stadium prices

Hey Marie! As a life long athlete, playing many team sports through college and beyond, I believe going to professional sports events are rarely worth the heavy price tag. And, the enjoyment can also depend on the attitudes of the people right around you - if they're similar in personality type to you, it can be a lot of fun. But, that hasn't often been my experience. People there are often too loud rude and in-your-face (just for my taste). I've read a lot of comments here - many say they prefer watching from their own living rooms. In general, I would agree. The few times I've gone with a group of friends and tailgated before the game (bbq in the parking lot), those were the best times. As a first experience, I'm truly sorry it wasn't more fun for you. I guess it's all part of the American experience. Not everything is going to be awesome for everyone. I totally respect your perspective and views. If a football game was not your cup of tea, I'm guessing an American rock concert would not be either. The crowd, heat, and noise level is even more intense. Most stadiums have very high food and drink prices but some teams try to offer family discount packages so everyone can enjoy the experience at an affordable price.

I grew up playing football and I still love it. But I don't go to pro games anymore, for some of the same reasons you have cited. The huge expense, the insane traffic jams, the high prices, etc. It got old. I will say that I went to a DC game (they had a different name then), and I had a similar experience. The fans were over the top. They were drunk, loud and yelling and standing for every bleeping play -- even a two-yard run up the middle. So, yeah, your reaction is understandable. I watch at home.

Awesome video. Football is our #1 sport. I'm glad you were able to experience it for the 1st time. You're absolutely correct. Prices at sporting events is ridiculous but people continue to go to stadium. I prefer watching football on big television at home with food that is cheaper than at the stadium.

Funny, you went to one game and you identified most all the reasons people don't enjoy going to games. All the cameras make it a much better viewing experience from home, the concessions are crazy expensive (did you look at the price of a beer?), the crowds can be obnoxious, it's too slow because of all the commercial time outs, etc. etc. Like you said, it's good that you got to experience it and I don't blame you for not really enjoying it.

Agreed. Marie probably is a teenager so may not have looked at the beer prices since she’s underage for that. Aside from the TV timeouts, she also may feel American football is slow if she’s used to the nonstop action of European football (soccer).

Watching the game with friends and family on television it’s something I enjoy, there are things that the live experience provides that cannot be replicated at home. I will always treasure getting to see the 2020 NHL Winter Classic.

The reason people were screaming was because it makes it harder for the enemy team Quarterback to change the play and the players on the enemy team can't hear the count so they don't know when the ball is going to be hiked (moved to start the play). So the home crowd yells on 3rd down to try and mess them up. It actually works and causes problems for the enemy team. The NFL promotes it because it gets the crowd involved. It's called the home team advantage.

Bonjour Marie! (Sorry this is kinda long!) I am lucky enough to live in an area with all 4 major American sports leagues (Football, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey.) No, it's ok to not enjoy the game in person and say it's better on tv. By and large it is better to watch all of them at home because of the things you mentioned (view, food, etc.) Football in person can be really rough because of the "lack" of action. Baseball is pretty boring as well, but sometimes the "experience" of being at the ballpark is great (unless it rains like what happened to you.) College football can be more fun in person than pro because of all the fun things college fans do in the stands. Some of the best things about going to a football game (more so with college than pro but both have this) is "tailgating" where fans bring food and drinks and hangout in the parking lot before, during, and/or after the game. Enjoying a football game in person really can depend on where you sit more than the other sports, although hockey and basketball can be rough if you're seated on the ends, but the playing area is so much smaller that it's easier to follow than watching the massive football field. Having said that, I will again HIGHLY recommend that you try to go see the Chicago Bulls vs the Detroit Pistons NBA Basketball game in Paris on Thursday, 19 January, 2023 but also try to get seats more toward the center of the field than you were at the football game. Basketball has MUCH more constant action than Football and baseball. Tickets are now on sale! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed

It's only in the last 10 years that camera and TV quality has improved to be a better overall experience than the stadium. Most people who go do so as an overall habit as fanatics. They meet friends in the parking lot, enjoy the outing, enjoy being there during famous plays, etc. (edit: a couple of my all-time unforgettable experiences are being present at a few games, famous plays, dancing on the field after a win, crazy weather....etc).

Hi Marie!!! I can hardly explain to you how much your reaction mirrors mine to all the football games I go to every year, for the last 40 years!!! You did have a pretty and non-rainy day, but the sun being out ended up making you too hot, which happens to me all the time (or I am freezing to death sitting on metal stadium chairs, like last week, or getting drowned in a storm!)! That is a big stadium, and the one I go to is the University of Texas, which is larger than 100,000, with a video screen and sound system that will make you deaf within minutes 🤣😮! I have great difficulty talking to the friends sitting next to me almost the whole game, and I have my share of yelling fans nearby too, as you experienced with the lady screaming behind you 😵! There are so many people at the games, and the seats are packed in next to each other, with no walking room in between rows either. I cannot believe how expensive your food was 😮😵, with water $6 and Gatorade $7.50!! Wow - MUCH more expensive than at U.T.!!! And no, there are no stadiums that let you bring your own food into the game. The game is a slow game, with mostly inaction. There are only 60 minutes of football that takes 3.5 to 4 hours to complete 😴!! And, it is easy to miss good plays because of innattention. I also am short, and I see the same views that you did, even with the heads in front of the screen, so I see very little of the action. You are so right, people could have just as much fun by staying seated, and then we could all see! I have to leave 2 hours before game time to take my friends to the game, park way away, and walk to my seat. Then the game is almost 4 hours, and it takes me another 2 hours to get everyone home. That is 8 hours for only 1 hour of actual football, and it costs me well over $600 for a season ticket (more than $100 each game)!!! I often let someone else take my ticket, because, like you, I MUCH prefer to watch from home, relax in my home at a nice temperature, get something to eat or drink any time, see every camera angle of every play, and not be EXHAUSTED after each game, as you were after your experience!! I am glad you liked getting to experience a game though, so that was a plus 😄😄, and you truly did an excellent job with your commentary, explaining your true impressions, which happen to match mine exactly Marie 😂😂😅! I was laughing so hard listening to you talking about the game. The yelling is part of the game. The quarterback has to tell the other guys on the team what the play is so the crowd yells to make it difficult for them to do that. I do agree with you about the food and drink prices but we know it when we go so we're not so shocked by it.

You are right on several levels. The prices at sports venues are a detriment to the whole experience. Obviously, as people will say, nobody has to buy their stuff, but kids eating hot dogs, people having beers with their friends, etc can add to the experience. As for game action, I agree. The cameras, drones, and quality of the TV images, brings you into the action in such detail it’s almost scary. But I like replays. The noise is a downside and some fans get too noisy. Your report on it all was pretty good and I noticed you used a hand mic like a sports reporter.

Being at a football game can be a blast if 1) you love being in crowds, 2) you love noise, 3) you know enough about the game to follow it, and 4) you are the type of person who also likes being in rock concerts. The crowd deliberately tries to make it difficult for the visiting team's quarterback's signals be heard by his teammates. That's part of the game! Seattle Seahawk fans became famous for this. For rowdiness, there is Husky Stadium, also in Seattle, where the University of Washington Huskies. The stadium did not allow alcohol in the venue for obvious reasons. But every once in a while the police would catch somebody with booze or beer, and they would make a great show of pouring it out in front of the crowd while we chant, "Last call for alcohol!" The workaround would be for students to buy these insulated pint bottles of soda pop. Drink one or two ounces of pop and refill with rum or whiskey. Then screw the cap back on and take to the game. It is amazing how tipsy fans would get drinking Coca-Cola!

You are spot on, rather watch on TV, for the same reasons you gave, that being said if you ever visit south Louisiana during football season you need to go to a LSU Tigers college football game in Baton Rouge, not so much for the game but for the tailgating. The tailgating, which is before the game in the parking areas, lots of people bring their grills and everything else for cooking and drinking. Lots of Cajun food and people are happy to share. Very good experience and much different than what you experienced, except it will have plenty of loud crazy people just having fun. Love your videos and honesty.

Hey Marie. I'm glad you got to experience a game and am gratified that you came to the same conclusion of a lot of sports fans. The atmosphere of the game is great. The tailgating experience wonderful if you're any good at that food prep thing. But it's pure torture to try to sit and enjoy the game if you're actually there in person. Instead of spending that money being miserable. Spend the same amount at home and have a fantastic time for you and your friends. For the price of two tickets some snacks and beverages, you can buy a huge tv and have you snacks catered. But like I said. I'm glad you got to experience what so many fans would love to do. Yep I agree with you!! I mostly go to NHL ice hockey games and it can get very loud in there too. I think the prices of food and drinks are very high at all types of sport events here in America too. But at ice hockey games you are inside but its COLD for the ice but you can put more clothes on to keep warm 😊

Lol, my college's football team plays in Dallas at the Cowboy's stadium, and the prices are insane. My buddy would buy one water and then refill it in the bathroom. I don't think I'd ever go to a NFL game just cause I'm not super interested in NFL football, but every college venue I've been to was awesome. If you ever get to do your New Orleans tour maybe you can go up to LSU and just tailgate. Also, LSU has a massive French language and Francophile studies department. Oh, and a tiger, they have a tiger on campus, just chilling.

The best thing about watching a football game at the stadium--if you can see the field--is seeing the big picture, that is, seeing everything that's going on at the same time. You can't see that on TV because they always zoom in. The worst things are all the things you mentioned. Personally I prefer going to high school and small college games where the noise and crowds are smaller and the prices are cheaper. They're also exciting in a different way. Since they aren't the best players they make more mistakes so you never know what's going to happen next!

Thanks for your honesty, Marie. You make very good points and observations about the in-person American football game experience. You mentioned things I don't like either. The prices I think are because of how much they pay the players -- they have to generate income to pay them and all their other expenses. But they are ridiculous! Also, even though being at home has its real advantages what I like about going to a game -- something I now rarely do but I did a lot when I was a kid -- our Dad bought season tickets for our local home team -- was the excitement of watching MY team in person and cheering for them together with 10s of 1000s of other fans. But since you do not have a favorite home team that wasn't part of your experience , through no fault of your own. It's just that you didn't have that built-in excitement of wanting to see your team play, the drama of how they were doing and whether they will win or lose. So in the end all your comments made sense to me and as you said you are still very glad you went!

You noticed the people playing corn hole in the parking lot, but did you see people out there with grills cooking? Tailgating is what we call it. BBQ chicken or hamburgers, hotdogs, sometimes steaks are all popular, but you’re there 2+ hours ahead of time.

Marie, that was a very honest report on your trip to an American football game. I am a bit surprised that it was till too hot in the second half of October. Perhaps it was mainly just the constant sun beating gown on you? I have been to only 2 football games, one I took my teenage son to and the other was a Super Bowl, but neither were too hot nor did I find the people standing up most of the time in front of me, forcing me to stand up as well. However, whenever something exciting happened, like a long run or pass, or a touchdown, people would stand up and cheer or moan! But the loudness is intentional. The idea behind this is to make as much noise as you can when the visiting team has the ball. This to make it very hard for their players to hear the play calling and countdown to snap the football. This is one of the main reasons why the home team has an advantage, and some stadiums are louder than others, partly due to the intensity of the fans and their enthusiasm, and partly in the stadium design. The stadium you were in did not look like a particularly large one. For the professional league (the NFL) the stadiums vary from about 50K to 100K people that it can hold. I think the college stadiums vary the same amount. Keep in mind that throughout the Fall, college football games across the country play on Saturdays, and the professional (NFL) games are on Sundays. There are only 32 NFL teams, which results in 15 games each week from mid Sept to mid Dec. With 32 teams, you would think that there were 16 games each week, but at least 2 teams get a bye throughout the season, and thus 1 game less per week But there are hundreds of colleges throughout the country, and most of the have football teams, and they each play in their own specific league, so there are many college sports groupings, many, many games each Saturday. The NFL players come from the best players in the college football world, and are drafted each year. So, American football is VERY big over here. The ultimate playoff game in the NFL is called the Super Bowl, and that is usually held in the very large stadium, in Feb of each year. People come from all over to attend it. As you are now in Arizona (which is where I live also), the last Super Bowl was last February. 2023, and it was here in the Phoenix area stadium, in Goodyear, AZ. But I agree with you on watching them at home, where I do not have to pay huge prices for just a drink, and get better coverage of the game. I also record them on my DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and can watch it at any time, and/or replay any section over again, and even run it in slow motion! But there is growing interest in Europe with American football. Two games were played there this past season, one in the UK, and one in Germany. There were 3 million requests for tickets for the 70,000-seat stadium! Anyway, I glad you went, and had the experience. Attending the games also costs lots of money for the tickets, which I have never liked. Also, you said the game was somewhat boring and not enough action. well compared to something like soccer which has very few stoppages, American football has a lot of them. Part of this is that they have plays, where everyone is suppose to do something pre-established and hopefully, well practiced. The other reason is that just from the nature of running into other players and getting knocked down all the time, and using most of the players using all their strength over and over, is very exhausting, so the breaks are very welcomed by the players. But baseball games are a lot slower. While I grew up in part in Europe, and played soccer (what you call it 'football' or fusball), I do not enjoy watching it on TV. It is like watching a ping-pong game, and scoring almost never happens. I use to coach kids (ages 6-18) in soccer, and played myself in adult leagues for many years, so I do like the sport, but not so much as a spectator. But American football is the best team sport to watch, and it is the best referees game as well. But it is such a delight to hear about your reaction to 'the American Experience', and in this case it was attending an American football game. But I have to say, I fell in love when I watched your video when you went to Normandy (I am a VERY big WW II buff). It was not all the very nice and much appreciated video of the memorial (I have never been there), but it was your words afterwards when you described what impact it had on you. WW II was the biggest calamity in human history, and I was so thrilled (tears to my eyes) that this small part has meaning to you too. Your analysis and describing your feelings was IMPRESSIVE! Marie I've been to a few college football games and I think you miss a lot when your at the game. So yes I prefer watching from home so you can wait for a commercial to get something to eat or go to bathroom. But some people likes the excitement of being there.

I can understand all of the points you made about the game. I'm sure you could make the same points about concerts. For people who are smaller, it's strategic to sit higher up and at the front of those elevated sections. I have been to several games, including a European League football game between the Rhein Fire and Scottish Claymores that was played near Frankfurt, Germany. It was quite a game and the Germans filled the place. I don't think that league still exists today, but I saw it when it was. The comment I smiled a bit at was your comment that it was too hot. You were there in October. Now just imagine going to an outside sporting event in September. It gets toasty. The food prices are scandalous, and most people know that. That's why "Tailgating" is a thing. People barbeque food out in the parking lot hours before the game and make it a big party. Some of the best food I've ever had was at those parties. Lastly, I agree with your assessment regarding the benefits of watching the games at home. All valid points. The reason people go to the games is because they want to have that experience. The noise, the heat, the crowds, the expense, the lack of good visibility. It's something people actually go out of their way to experience often. I'm glad you got the chance to experience it, even the parts that put a frown on your face.

A few years ago, I worked at a hockey and basketball arena where we sold water and soft drinks for $5, beers 🍻 for $8-11 and small pizzas 🍕 for $10. This high pricing is typical of sports events and concerts in the US. It's a way for them to make a little more money.

First, I'm an American (living not too far from the Air and Space museum you visited). I have noticed the following..American sports tend to be more sprint, stop, sprint, stop. European sports then to be more of a marathon. The action keeps going and going, usually at a slightly slower pace. It sounds like you will like the European sports such as your football. I have found that when I go to the stadium, I pick up the energy from the crowd, at the expense of the dollars, and the lesser views from my seats. When I'm at home, I get better viewing angles, but lose out on the crowd around me. It usually turns out to be about equal in the enjoyment between the two.

Actually I agree with all of your comments and implied comments. When I go to a football game I wear high quality earplugs. It does help to understand some of the details of the game, but because of 'TV' timeouts it is too slow. Also I agree with your comment about people standing-up. It annoys me also. I said in your last video that I was really looking forward to this one. I figured either you'd absolutely love the experience, or absolutely hate it. As a football fan, having been to tons of Baltimore Colts and Ravens games over my lifetime, I've still always preferred watching on TV. For all the reasons you mentioned. BUT, you didn't *actually* get the full experience, and because of that, it might be why you didn't enjoy it. See, in order to have the best time as an NFL game, you have to be drunk. Or at least get drunk while you're there (and subsequently broke. Beer prices are worse than water, for sure.) Then, you see, all that yelling and screaming isn't so bad! In fact, you become part of it . And that, my dear, is how to enjoy an NFL game in-stadium! Also, it's 2022 Marie; you're not supposed to be so focused on butts. 🤪

I played football for 13 years, including two years in college. I would highly advise any and all foreign visitors to the US who are interesting in going to a football game: do NOT go to an NFL game, go to a college game at a “big” school(Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, etc..). There will be great venues all over the country and it’s a much more exciting environment. Don’t be afraid to go hangout with some strangers at the tail gates before the game and have a few drinks :) Basically, NFL football sucks, college football is incredible.

I have watched a couple of your videos and have really enjoyed them. It is fun to see things I am familiar with seen through the eyes of someone not as familiar with them. And I commend you for being open to experiences. Many people who travel are interested in doing their normal things but just in a different place. You decided you wanted to go to a football game and a baseball game to "experience" it. You expressed there were things you enjoyed and things you didn't. That brings me to the other thing I enjoy most about your reactions. You have managed to strike the balance of being able to say you like/don't like something without it turning into a moral judgement. You can dislike something without it being inherently bad. It is just an observation or something you personally do/don't "like." That is a wonderful trait in a reaction. As for "boring" George Will opined that football is the 2 worst features of American Life: Gratuitous Violence punctuated by Committee Meetings. Fans in any sport can't understand why those less versed in them find them "boring." But there is a lot of subtlety that fans don't realize they understand, and even enjoy, about the game that those less familiar will find boring. Many sports have basic premises that are easy to understand, even intuitive. But they all have deeper levels that are not necessarily "intuitive." Things that appear meaningless to someone not well versed in the game will be of intense interest to someone who is a more avid follower. Finally, part of what makes a game enjoyable to watch for fans at the game is they are familiar with the teams and players. Familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the teams (and players). And there is excitement and intrigue in how those will play out on a given day. If you are not familiar with those things the game can quickly become "boring." I used to be an avid college basketball fan. Now I find it difficult to watch because I am not familiar with the players. I don't know who is good/bad. Conversely, I used to dislike college football, but have been following it more closely recently and have found it more fun to watch as I am more aware of what/who to watch. For a casual fan this is part of the reason that watching from home is sometimes more fun. The broadcasters "fill in the blanks" of who/what to watch for. I imagine if I started watching college basketball again I would, within a season or two, become enthralled with it again.

Haha don't worry about being negative, it's totally not for everyone (I'm American and not a huge fan of American football). I understand how it can be slow with the stops and starts. And the loud people had likely been tailgating and were really drunk (best part of football games). You may have enjoyed a baseball game more (though the season was pretty much over when you got here). It can be a bit boring, but it's typically much more relaxed. All stadium prices here (unless they're lower leagues) are absolutely extortionate. I paid nearly $30 for two beers at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. But the trash talking from the crowd is absolutely top-notch at baseball games. Great video, glad you got to knock that off your list!

8:01 This year, just watching College Football on TV could sometimes be difficult because of the crowd noise and I really wish they would halve the volume of the background fan noise. That being said, you absolutely get a pass for thinking that it was too loud because it almost certainly was too loud. They build these stadiums, in many cases, to amplify crowd noise and make it louder so that the home fans can be a “twelfth” man when the home team is on defense.

I have to agree with You Marie. The prices for water, food,beer,etc. at any sporting event in America is beyond ridiculous. The price for parking at an event is as well. As for the game You went to. Most likely all the screaming and yelling was when the Titans had the ball on offense. It's supposed to be a distraction and cause communication problems between the players.That does suck that everyone in front of You was standing which ruined everything for You because You could'nt see.You're also right that there are so many stoppages during the game that it can make it boring. Unlike European football which is non stop play with a running clock. Washington,DC in early October must have been brutal with the Sun and heat. Very Interesting seeing your perspective:) All Football stadiums are not the same. Newer Stadiums have a roof to protect from rain and snow. Also they have way bigger screens to view the replays of action. Yes, food prices are high. We expect that. That is Why some people "Tail-gate" in the parking lot. You need to go to a college football game, and experience that atmosphere, and you are right, the prices are way to high. I believe it is a must to stand, that is what builds the excitement. I understand if you are short, it is hard to see. You really have to understand the game to really get excited. Glad you had the experience though.

I have been to many live sporting events over the years and the only one I think is better to watch live than on television is Hockey. Football is my favorite sport over all, but Hockey is my favorite sport to watch live in an arena. Just my opinion though. I love your channel.and you are just delightful to watch. Keep it up.🙂🙂

It sounds like you had the typical experience at a football game. I don't know why people pay exorbitant prices for the tickets. I think that they are wanting the experience attendant to the game but not part of the game. Most of would rather watch on TV and be comfortable at home or in a restaurant, where the fans are more subdued and polite.

My first and only Football game was also at Washington stadium and it was freezing cold, raining, a hurricane was off the eastern shore but they played the game anyways, and I was hungry and thirsty because I wasn’t paying those prices. I got the flu a few days after that. I haven’t been back to a live game since and that was years ago. I much prefer to watch at home on my couch and get to see 5 games a week with out freezing or burning up in the elements.

As far as the fans screaming. It can be very necessary. When the opponent has the ball and is lining up getting ready to snap the ball to start their next play, the more noise that the fans make = more likely to disrupt the opponent. This is what we called homefield advantage. The louder you are, the less they can hear. This can cause them to make an error in movement and get a penalty. American football can be a very complicated game. Lots of rules, lots of noise... So glad you got to see a game in person. However, large crowds/noise does not seem to be your 'thing', so understandable it was not the best experience for you. Yes, when watching at home you can see the details of the game better.
