Diane, that spinach and artichoke dip is extremely easy to make! Take one package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained well), or use fresh if you don't have frozen, you will need about 1 1/2 cups of cooked chopped spinach. 4 cans of artichoke hearts chopped (don't get the marinated chokes, get those packed in water), 3 cups mayo, 1 jalapeno finely chopped (more or less depending on how hot you want it, or not), 2-3 cups grated Parmesan cheese, 1-2 cloves crushed garlic. Mix everything together and place in oven safe dish and bake in oven till it is bubbling. It is amazing with chips, garlic bread, bread sticks, tortillas......basically any and everything!

I've seen a lot of people online say that boneless wings are just sauced chicken nuggets, but that is very false. Chicken nuggets are mechanically separated chicken, light and dark meat, bleached, and formed back into a nugget shape. Boneless wings are chunks of white meat(chicken b____) breaded and then cooked. I had used that b word in a comment on another video recently and my comment was auto-deleted so I'm not saying it this time...

Off topic but I have a question and have to say something about the Irish people. Firstly, I always assumed that the vast majority of the Irish were redheads since thats how Irish people are almost always portrayed having red hair... However when I was deployed to Iraq we stopped for 5 hours at Shannon Airport. So I got to meet a few Irish men and a lot of women. And I was surprised to see that about 70% of the women were blondes.. So is it just a stereotype that Irish people are mostly redheads? Yes, they were from Ireland and it didn't look it was dyed/bleached. Also I have to every single person I met in there were unbelievably friendly and generous. Seriously I must of drank 15 cups of coffee since every time I finished one someone else would buy me another one. Then every time I would go outside to have a smoke before I could even open my pack someone would hand me one of their ciggs. Then on top of that every single woman I seen was freakin gorgeous. I live in the deep south where we take pride onbiur friendliness and our hospitality, and Ireland puts us to shame I'm being completely honest when I say that that few hours in Ireland was the highlight of my year. This was in 2009 and still I think about that day and everyone I got to meet... Thanks Ireland for giving me and my unit a wonderful day before going Iraq.

Iam getting a chicken burger with fries, artichoke dip with crisp tortilla chips, cinnabon mini swirls for dessert. Applebee's also owned the Irish Pub and Grill Harrigan's my mother worked there. Artichoke dip is real easy to make and most grocery stores stores have it already made in the freezer section. Cinnamon goes good in breakfast desserts and drinks with chocolate and mixes. Cimamon toast is the easiest to make. Toast, Kerry gold butter, sugar, and cinnamon.

My young daughter was showing off her learning-skills by discovering and learning "pomaecous" - apple-like. She would use that word and get the "you're too young to know such a BIG word" and "you're too young to know how to spell that BIG word" reaction, which was a most wonderful reaction for her. Anyway, we went to an Applebee's and she pronounced almost immediately, "This doesn't smell pomaceous TO ME-!" with a stern tone and almost accusing the waitress of tricking her, conning her into this eatery. The waitress was taken aback, but then started playing that game with her, that the Waitress HAD to give our daughter something apple-y, something pomaceous. Pie was excellent, of course, but as we left, our daughter snorted, "That's not really deserving the Apple name." So there - !! A decade later, she has never returned. Pity the poor high-school date that takes her to Applebee's for a upscale meal. "Ewww... not there - !"

If you Wikipedia “Bennigan’s” (I don't think they started in Ireland0, you can learn where chains like Applebee’s, Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s, TGI Fridays, and Ruby Tuesday were born in the States. In a nutshell, in the early ‘80s, someone decided that yuppies needed somewhere to go after work for drinks and appetizers (an early version of “Happy Hour”), and the Bennigan’s chain was born. It was basically a pub with a restaurant around it, like all the chains I just mentioned today. They eventually made them more family-friendly and downplayed the bar atmosphere to widen the clientele pool. Then the other chains sprang up. We used to go to Applebee’s, but we stopped going to restaurants around COVID, as they became too expensive (Applebee's these days actually advertises meals between 10-15 bucks each as “what a deal!” More like steal), and we figured out we could find most of this stuff in grocery stores. Hell, all those appetizers are in the frozen food section. Much cheaper, and you can eat in the comfort of your own home.

Sadly, Applebees is one of a breed of suburban family restaurants of a type that are slowly dying in the USA. Every shopping mall in America used to be surrounded by restaurants like Applebees, Bennigans, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and Ruby Tuesday... and many more. They were aimed at middle-class families and although each had their own theme, they had generic menus that always included a selection of burgers, a chicken dish or two, mac & cheese for the kids and the food was generally carb rich and inoffensively bland. But, as people have gravitated away from shopping malls, and healthy eating becomes more of a priority, such restaurant chains are fading into oblivion.

Hello Diane. Jim Wilson here. I LOVE APPLEBEE'S! That appetizer tray is one of their signature items. If you take a second trip to Applebee's, you need to try the pub pretzels with the two dipping sauces. For an entree, a quesadilla burger is an excellent choice, but so are the baby back ribs with the honey BBQ sauce. You can save enough room for dessert and box whatever is left over. Oh yeah, soft drinks refills for free is never a bad thing, either. You seemed to enjoy your first visit. And now, I want to go to my local Applebee's.

I don't know if you're allowed to be so offput by that guy asking the potato question after it directly inspired such a deeply introspective monologue, lol.

I remember going with my Dad when they had the endless boneless wings, shrimp and ribs. It was a pretty good deal. If you’re ever in Upstate New York, I would definitely recommend trying Lanie’s Cafe.

I would like to unofficially, cause why be so official, invite you to visit Fargo, North Dakota. We do have a few Irish Bars. Not really pubs, but the owners are of Irish descent. There is Duffy's and Dempsey's, and The Blarney Stone. Although, there is a Movie called Fargo and a TV series, they have little to nothing to do with Fargo. Fargo is all about agriculture and NDSU. North Dakota State University. It is a Large University that has won 9 National Championships in American Football. It is playing tonight for its tenth. It is on the border with Moorhead, Minnesota. If you do decide to visit, the best time to visit is Summer during the Street Fair or the "Red River Valley Fair".

I didn’t like cheese growing up. I did like pizza - so yes I did like Mozzarella.
@chrisk5651Күн бұрын
But I don’t like stinky cheese especially or sharp or blue.

2:29 yes, whenever I hear someone say they don’t like mozzarella sticks, I wonder if they’ve been body snatched

Diane, since you're in Boston why don't you shoot through the tunnel tomorrow and go get a pizza at Santarpio's in East Boston or go to Belle Isle Seafood. You'll love it!

I’m all pizza’d out since Chicago 😂

@@DianeJennings those are not considered pizza in Boston. Too thick and soggy! 🤢You haven't lived till you had a real thin crust Italian pizza. 👍

If it’s not Thanksgiving, this potato gets overlooked It’s tasty and healthy and so many ways it can be cooked If I had to pick one tuber that represents me The underrated Sweet Potato is the one I would be

Happy Monday Diane! Applebee's is okay for a chain restaurant. One time when I was there, I saw a nun trip and fall, so I ran to a Sister. Boop!

My parent’s never let me go to places like this and said they were trashy. I’d love to visit one but I don’t think there’s any nearby these days and I’m usually outside of the US for work. It looks great, though! I’m jealous! 😊

That’s so funny my parents got things in their head like that too. Like an Irish tradition on your communion is to go around the doors and ask for a blessing-which really means give me a couple of quid. My parents said that was common so I was the only kid who didn’t get to do it in the whole neighbourhood. Needless to say, my communion money was significantly lower than my peers. Humph 😤
