It actually was called Silver Dollar City before Dolly bought it. I use to go a lot.Since I have gotten handicap since 2020 I haven't returned. Is it better now that it's Dollywood or was it better as Silver Dollar City?
@karenduncan24788 ай бұрын
@JPVideos81 It's better as Dollywood. Silver Dollar City didn't have a whole lot, if I am not mistaken the train was there at Silver Dollar City it 75 acres. Dollywood is 165 acres. It was Silver Dollar late 70's early 80's. Silver Dollar was falling short I believe it filed bankruptcy. Dolly bought it, in which Dolly has helped her hometown tremendously.

This looked like so much fun! I had no idea Dollywood was so organized and well-polished. It would be worth going just for that. Thanks for another great video!

Oh man, what a train ride that was!!!! I am in awe also of the train's whistle. There is no other sound that compares. The train looks full every time and that's funny since the park didn't look over-crowded. Don't know if I could handle that much walking but it sure looks like a beautiful layout! My daughter and I rode a coaster called "White Lightning" at Carowinds in Charlotte, N.C. on the N.C/S.C. line and it SHOT you out of a loading area at about a 2G force, straight up a high incline where you barely had time to get a breath......and then BACKWARDS to the loading dock. It was definitely a shock to my system.....but FUN! I think it is now in South Africa I saw through research. "Carowinds, a 400-acre amusement park located on the North Carolina-South Carolina state line, is home to top-rated roller coasters, including Fury 325, the world's tallest and fastest giga coaster, as well as more than 60 rides, attractions, and live stage shows. Carolina Harbor, a 26-acre water park, features a variety of water slides, wave pools, large play structures and a three-acre children’s play area. Carowinds Camp Wilderness and SpringHill Suites by Marriott at Carowinds are guest accommodations located on-site."

Very nice! From looking at your video, it's not what I would have expected either. It does seem very well put together and lots of things I would love to see in person. I'm not much of a rollercoaster person anymore, but I would still enjoy the scenery and just strolling around. I do have to say, I agree with your daughter, the train was a bit loud for me. I can only imagine how loud it is in person and you were sitting in the back end. I can't imagine how loud it was for the folks closer up front. WOW!! I thought the views from the train were great as well. My favorite part of the park would be the Car section. The 50's were a little bit before my time, but I can appreciate earlier times.
