I went camping for the first time!
I took the Isuzu D-Max AT35 Basecamp on a camping adventure through France and Switzerland to see how usable the camping modifications actually are.
The Isuzu D-Max AT35 Basecamp is a remarkable vehicle that starts life as a D-Max V-Cross, and then gets the Arctic Trucks treatment. This means that it gets Bilstein suspension, 17" x 10" Arctic Trucks Alloys with massive 35" BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres. There's also the addition of some flared wheel arches, a pair of Arctic Trucks sidesteps, and Arctic Trucks mud flaps.
The modifications don't stop there, because this Basecamp version of the D-Max gets a few extras from ARB. There's the Baserack for storing things on the roof, alongside the Esperance RTT roof tent to sleep in. There's even a slide-out kitchen complete with a 3 burner gas stove, a 12L collapsible sink, and a stainless steel benchtop with utensils drawer. Let's not forget the fridge freezer.
In this video I take the Isuzu D-Max AT35 Basecamp from Yorkshire to Grindelwald in Switzerland, passing through places like Paris and the beautiful Swiss Alps. Along the way I spend 5 nights making use of all of the equipment, and I cover over 2000 miles in the thing!
