Well Done Karen. I have done a little Dressage myself and it is a bit of a big deal. I had a big 16 hand horse back then who was very throughbredy she could do it pretty well but she was young. I always found it fun and challenging.

Dressage tests always feel different than they look, and that looked a decent test for your first go this year! And you got a placing, plus a qualification, cant say fairer than that! 🎉

A nice first outing, very obedient, but yeah his canter was bit up and down on the spot, not covering the ground, my mare used to be like , my trainer advised trot - canter - trot 5 strides each gait on 20 m circles then free rein canter 20 m circles, the aim is self balance with soft contact, the trot-canter-tror and so on is to aim for relaxed trans and to canter steady but with impulsive in front of the leg, if you do lots of the trans they learn to not rush, hope that's helpful

Wow, you both did fantastic. Dressage was never my thing as I always muddled up the test due to nerves. I loved show jumping though. Willow looked so gorgeous in red. Love your Olaf jumper! I thought you did really well. Congratulations 👏❤️🐎
