Every hard rocker & metal head I've ever met or known loves loves loves ABBA! Everyone loves ABBA. They are the #2 selling entertainment act of all time, ahead of Elvis, Michael Jackson...........and just behind the Beatles. Legends! They could have retired as millionaires after their 1st album but they kept on going, and for a decade they were the undisputed #1 band in the world. They did in a decade what took other legends their entire careers!

58 year old white man, these songs are part of my youth and I'm not ashamed to say they invoke feelings of youth, freedom and something I can't quite put my finger on! First time I heard this... back in the 70s. I was laying in the back of my dad's old station wagon looking up at the clouds rolling past the window. Dancing Queen came on the radio and my dad changed the station. My sister said "no dad... please, that's my favorite." Well, my dad didn't just play it for her he cranked that old AM radio up as high as it could go. My sister was singing, my dad was smiling. Just a great memory. I'll always love this song because of that day. Guess I should subscribe now, lol. Thanks my friend. 👏🏾

These is ABBA, the iconic Swedish pop quartet, the best, most versatile and most important of the 70s, in the post BEATLES decade (the revolutionary group of the 60s) ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, was a musical and cultural phenomenon, and its legacy lives on remember that ABBA is an acrostic with initials of their first names; initialy They was two couples: A- Agnetha (blonde lead vocal) & B- Björn (guitarist and songwriter) B- Benny (pianist and songwriter) & A- Anni Frid (brunette lead vocal) (both couples separated before the end of the group in 1982) "Dancing Queen" (1976) is a beautiful song, which shines in the loftiness of its vocal harmonies the blonde singer Agnetha is soprano voice, the brunette singer Frida is mezzo soprano voice, and blending together made the famous and fantastic 'third voice of ABBA' And the music is bright and enveloping, from the initial chord it introduces you into the atmosphere of the disco and invites you to dance English public has voted it as one of the songs they want to hear the most, because of the feeling of joy and energy it gives them (another is "Don't stop me now" by Queen) And in 2015 "Dancing Queen" was included in the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll music ABBA recording between 1972/1982, have a wonderful series of more than 20 worldwide hits (and also 50 another great songs), included nine #1 in UK: Waterloo Mamma Mia Fernando Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you The name of the game Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super trouper And after more than 35 years ABBA return to studio in 2017 and recording a full new album "Voyage" between 2017/2021 released in November 2021 and is a worldwide succes ABBA begin to be famous in 1974, when They won the Eurovision Song Contest in UK with their iconic song "Waterloo" these is the link of the live perfomance, that I suggest you to a next reaction kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXfWh5iDr5Z5a8U If you know "Dancing Queen" in movies, maybe "Waterloo" too, and others ABBA iconic songs like "Mamma Mía", because ABBA music is timeless I hope to see more reactions to ABBA GOD bless you my best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America

"Dancing Queen" is a song released as the lead single from their album " Arrival " . The song was written by Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and their manager Stig Anderson. It was recorded 4th-5th August 1975 and released on 15th August 1976 . The demo to this song was called " Boogaloo " . Abba have also recorded a Spanish version of this song . I almost missed one of my favourite songs LOL , I was on my way out to work . Thank you for this one ... As always great video ❤️

There is A LOT to like about ABBA!!! For starters, if/when you are a parent, ABBA's already released your signature song -- "Mamma Mia" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5_Jq5mbbctshKs 🙂Obviously, you'll want to put this one in the reaction queue! Oh, yes -- a warning. Do not watch either of the two "Mamma Mia" movies until you're done reacting to ABBA. Almost every song they wrote was woven into the story line (spoiler after spoiled after spoiler.) --------- Now that you've discovered that Disco is light, fun music, you may want to check out other artists from that era/genre. ABBA and The Bee Gees are a great start, but there was only one "Queen of Disco" -- Donna Summer. Barbara Webb already recommended Donna, and you can add me to that list. A great place to start would be one of Donna's 5 Grammy-winning songs, "Hot Stuff" -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZnGkoOEqsZ9hLc

I had this ABBA album on vinyl when it originally came out in the 70s. One of the funniest films you may have seen that's loade with their music from 1994 is "Muriel's Wedding" an Aussie production. It's actually a "dramedy" & especially one ABBA scene in it is just great. I won't reveal n spoil it for you... Just watch it! Guaranteed you will love it. Another film is The Martian with Matt Damon... Loaded with ABBA believe it or not!!!👍 😛

Im lucky enough to have parents that taught me the difference between "like" and "good". What I like isnt always good and whats good I might not like. I grew up with a mother playing ABBA every day and its not that I thought it was bad or anything but I was way more into Michael Jackson, E-type and 2Unlimited to pay attention. First when I was older I was like "Ok, this is the second best selling band of all time... there must be something to it" and I very quickly realized that this is friggin brilliant.
