It’s all of them getting that high, they are brothers, so it’s in their DNA. Listen to some of their earlier songs, their voices are much lower and different. They have been performing together since they were very young, had many hits in the early sixties and reinvented themselves in the seventies and became hugely successful in the seventies with Saturday Night Fever sound track. Continued to make music through the 2000’s and wrote many hits for other artists as well. Amazing band!! Love the bees gees forever ❤️

Barry Gibb was one handsome man sadly he’s the only brother that still alive they just did a fantastic documentary on them on HBO if you have it or HBO max it is so good and the saddest thing was at the end he said he would give it all up to have his brothers back……They were absolutely huge I can’t stress enough the global superstar is that they were in the 70s

You know the most useful trivia about this song? They used to teach that if you're doing CPR, do it to the beat of "Stayin' Alive" and you're doing it at the correct rhythm. Oh, and the falsetto was big in disco. If you listen to pre-disco Bee Gees you'll hear their normal voices. Though if you want to hear the highest voice of that era, listen to "Lovin' You" by Minnie Riperton. She hits the whistle register in that song. (That's where the human voice sounds like a whistle and usually only very young children can do it which is why the sounds of the screaming can hurt your ears.) This is a song dedicated to her daughter, Maya Rudolph. Minnie is another one who died tragically young, age 31, from breast cancer. But let me just say what you're discovering. Disco music was fun. What's called dance music is just the direct descendant of disco. The 70s get a bad rap and a lot of that is because of disco. Yes, the clothing and gold lamé is dated, but the best of the 70s music still holds up today.
@DiscoDoll793 жыл бұрын

"How Deep is Your Love" "Jive Talkin" "Nights on Broadway", "You Should be Dancing" - many, many more songs to discover and make you SMILE. By the way, YES, Barry Gibb truly was as gorgeous as he appeared - I saw him at a fundraiser event (1989)...Tall, suntanned, oozing sexy/cool...and YES, the Bee Gees really did sound this incredible in concert! I am SO happy a new younger audience is discovering (and appreciating) the songs of the Bee Gees...

LOL, I knew you were going to recognize the song when it got to the chorus. They wrote it and performed it, and this song has been in many movies. Good reaction. Many black people have never "SEEN" the Bee Gees, like on video but only heard the song which is one of the funkest songs ever written. They think the Bee Gee's are "BLACK."
