I grew up with the Carpenters' music. Karen was one of a kind. There will never be another like her. She had such a pure calming voice. And she was a terrific drummer. That was her passion even more than singing. Sadly we lost her so young. Thankfully we have her legacy left in her music. The Carpenters had so many great songs such as "We've Only Just Begun", "For All We Know", "Goodbye To Love", "Superstar", "Top Of The World", "Sing", "Yesterday Once More", "I Won't Last A Day Without You", "Please Mr. Postman", "Only Yesterday", "There's A Kind Of Hush (All Over the World)", "I Need To Be In Love" & so many more.

Karen loved to say isn't that somethin. And yes it was. Just out of this world and Karen IMHO is the best singer and singer/drummer I have heard in my 67 years. Up until a few years ago I could care less about Carpenters. Was a rocker then something said give Karen a listen and Karen's singing went past my heart to my soul and have never been the same. Just WOW.
