That rattan bag is nice and cute, skillfully made by that elderly aunty. Shout-out to Steve by paying her extra even though she said it's RM80. Great experience with the rice wine and flower wine. Love the way they cheer...Oooooooooooooo Ha 🤓 Another great video with so much information and knowledge. Thanks Ken for taking us along the journey again.

Almost every village has a small grocery shop to cater for the villagers' needs. That is a valuable traditional bag. We call the big one- Juah and the smaller one -Lumok. I being a bidayuh tribe only has one as a souvenir from my late grandmother. Only the older generations like that old grandmother knows how to make it so please keep it properly as it is a treasure. Also hard to find in any souvenir shops. In Sarawak there are still a lot of longhouses along the pan borneo highway. The ibans still live in longhouses. Wow you also bought some tuak.

@ 9:00 I strongly advise that you guys don't roam around in the jungle or even a plantation like that, especially without a local to accompany you, not primarily because of some misunderstanding that you may have like what you had there with the terrified lady, but more because there had been cases where someone got shot by someone else (someone else being own friend, and even own husband, true story, not made up!) because the someone was thought to be a wild animal moving about behind the trees and bushes, like a wild boar 🐗 etc. So stay safe guys!

Yeah, weather is damn hot and humid too over here in Peninsula Malaysia. Do drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Awesome adventure with Steve to that "jungle" where there are sugar cane plants and young oil palm trees. That local lady is scared of you guys, thinking you both are bandits/robbers. Words used by her "takut" = scare, "penyamun" = bandit, "tak boleh" = cannot... Anyway, there's a wave from her finally. 😂

Not sure its a good idea walking through land when you do not know who owns it, someone may try to protect it from you. The girl was scared. I think the Tuak you tried is a commercial product, traditional Tuak would not be quite so clear. It is very good though. The Anna Rais Bidayu longhouse is a more touristy type of longhouse. Longhouses are usually rated or described by the number of doors. A visit to a real longhouse needs the permission of the head man, we had a 1 hour longboat ride and a walk through the rainforest, when we visited an Iban longhouse. You need to take gifts for the people, like cigarettesfor the adults and sweets for the children. We have done that in the past, fired the poison blowpipe and the short bow. It was very special.

Ken: Saya dari Jerman/ I'm from Germany, Native women: Oh, jauh !/Oh, that's far way!. ...... Ken: Can we come? Reply: Take boleh/Cannot. Ken & Steve: Tiada masalah (tidak ada masalah)/No problem/ 🇹🇭 Mai pen rai 😁. Time 13:22 How to eat sugarcane - Ken, you keep bitting on the hard outer layer or the skin of the sugarcane although Ivana keep trying to tell you what's wrong. I don’t think a City boy like you, Ken can learn the art of eating sugarcane like a Kampong boy 🤣. It is a 3 steps process. The idea is take a small bite at the open end, while holding in your teeth, pull away what you have bite. Firstly you need to remove the hard skin before start chewing on the soft sweet white sugarcane inside fresh to squeeze out the sweet and refreshing juice. Don't swallow but discard the dried pulp by spitting them out.
