Taking your first time easy, meeting up with a friend as a guide and not overloading your program seems a good idea. You've explored the easy accessible cities Zürich, Bern, Luzern and St.Gallen. Since you seem to appreciate nature so much, I suggest next time you take it a step further and visit smaller places tucked into mountain valleys like Gruyère, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Kandersteg, Engelberg, Chur, Zermatt, Grimentz... There's so much more to discover in Switzerland.

I have been here for 35 years now, and because of my cool childhood, being born in New Jersey and then living in Idaho, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maine, Colorado, Oregon, Colorado again, Washington, and finally California, I really appreciate this little place with 4 official language regions. As someone originally from zurich but lives in lucerne currently, it was so nice seeing those places that are so common to me and that i visit frequently from a new perspective. Living here kind of makes us forget its beauty of it sometimes, so it's nice seeing someone experience it all for the first time. One thing i would highly reccommend doing (if you are the type for it) is visit Museums. Switzerland has a great variety of really nice museums, especially every bigger city has at least one really nice contemporary art museum.
