*LOL* Hilarious how you tried to figure out that Zayn wasn't a woman. Nah, the boys all played a role. Zayn did make a beautiful woman tho, didn't he? :D This song is a single of their 3rd album, Midning Memories. This MV and with the long intro skit is meant to represent/show who they are as a band. Being a boyband usually comes with certain "rules". It's not just about singing and having the "right look", boybands are usually the whole machine with added dance routines etc. So the skit are saying they don't want to dress, nor do any dancing as expected. The MV was also used as promo for their documentary/concert movie "This is us" (2013) filmed during their "Take me home tour" so that's where some clips come from. Also, the title Best Song Ever isn't referencing that this is supposed to be the best song ever but in the lyrics they sing that they danced to the best song ever. It's really great live and when they toured this album they ended with this song. Iconic. I recommend a live performance. Preferably the one filmed in San Siro as it is from their concert movie "Where we are tour" (2014).
