Great reaction! I'm 65 and to watch a young person today discover "Pink Floyd" for the first time is great and I'm envious I also think its funny when young people comment on the length of a song................ We never considered that back in the day. Was your age when their music was new. You have an amazing journey ahead The Album "Dark Side of the Moon", Echos" at Pompeii and the "Pulse" concert is a must for an introduction. If you want to raise your views and Subscriptions their a sure bet. Just Subscribed and will watch every "Pink Floyd" reaction you do................................ "Yes" would also be an amazing journey for you "Ren" is also a way to get a lot of views,

You will enjoy every second on that journey. And don't be afraid from long songs. Some of the greatest songs from Pink Floyd go 20 minutes and longer. 😎👍

There is a great live version on this at the P.U,L.S.E. concert in 1994, I will add a link at the bottom if you want to check it out....I would recommend that any Pink Floyd song you do watch that you should hear the studio version first. Here are just a few examples of great Pink Floyd songs "Shine on You crazy Diamond", "Time", "Echoes", Comfortably Numb", "One Of These Days", "Fearless" and I am sure you will get further recommendations.... From wiki because I am lazy today...."Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. Gaining an early following as one of the first British psychedelic groups, they were distinguished by their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows They became a leading bandf the progressive rock genre, cited by some as the greatest progressive rock band of all time. By 2013, Pink Floyd had sold more than 250 million records worldwide, making them one of the best selling music artists of all time"....Wherever life finds you I hope it finds you and those that you love safe and well....AHIMSA!!!! I am absolutely with you, Comfortably Numb at Pulse 1994 is probably one of the most spectacular performances of all time, altogether an amazing concert. FWIW Pink Floyd don't seem to be aggressive with copyright strikes, so no need to pause every few seconds. Obviously when a band uses a lot of multi-tracking on their studio albums many of their live performances have other musicians taking part, it is difficult to describe the combination of so many talented people getting together to perform complex creative music with deep meaning lyrics accompanied by immense lighting effects. The studio albums set the bar high, it is easy to believe that the live performances might be disappointing, instead they take everything to a higher level. Pink Floyd always surprise...

Great to see someone getting “Floyded”; welcome brother! Couple of bits of context; most PF studio albums were recorded so the songs all flow, each one into the next. So to get the full experience, you’ll need to sit down and listen to the entire album. Also, while listening to the studio versions gives a more complete experience, you really -I mean REALLY- need to listen to anything from their P*U*L*S*E concert. While bassist and principal songwriter Roger Waters had left the band by that point, the remaining 3 members continued to record and tour. But by 1994 they were all getting long in the tooth, so when they toured to support what turned out to be their last studio album, “The Division Bell”, they decided to blow out all the stops this time around. They recorded several shows, notably at Earls Court in London, and released both the music and video as the P*U*L*S*E Concert (so named because there was a small LED light in the spine of the CD which flashed, or ‘pulsed’.) I had the pleasure of seeing the tour with 70,000 friends at Sun Devil Stadium, and it truly was spectacular. The entire concert was incredible, but the song that brought down the house was “Comfortably Numb.” It’s been called one of the greatest concert performances ever recorded. You really need to react to it. Other great live versions include “Run Like Hell”, ”Wish You Were Here”, about their missing bandmate, co-founder Syd Barrett, “Time”, and of course this song, “High Hopes”. Listening to Pink Floyd is always an experience, and you have some great experiences ahead of you, if you wish. Oh, and just for the record, in case it ever happens…concert etiquette dictates that you *NEVER* pause a David Gilmour guitar solo. Which may be a challenge for “Comfortably Numb”; Gilmour’s second (!!!) guitar solo in that song is more than six minutes long. You gotta watch it! Thanks again.

The statue is of Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's first lead singer, who left the band very early in their career, late 60s, due to drug-aggravated mental illness. Throughout the years the band has hinted at him in various songs and even come out and sung about him in others. Their music tends to take listeners on journeys, with or without lyrics, and their songs usually talk about deep matters people everywhere experience. The usual suspects for reactors are "Comfortably Numb" (usually studio version followed by the live version from Pulse), "Time," and "The Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2." Any of these, or any number of others are worth checking out!

I'm glad, as are many of my generation, that you've finally found real music to listen to and judge for yourself. This big difference is that todays music, and all the way back into the 90's, rock became about the words, like country music is. This music is about just that...the music, with the greatest musicians ever to play. As @robertmartyr9432 wrote...for a young kid like you this is a rabbit hole you'll never come out of, and I feel that once you jump in, you'll never look back. kudo's young man, enjoy the many twists and turns that the hole will offer, and it will change your life forever. proud i lived in the time of Pink Floyd, the the many thousands of great rock bands that came along with them.

But from Dark Side of the Moon (1973) thru The Wall (1979) you'll have 4 concept albums that are ALL considered masterpieces. You'll hear why.

You seem to have an eye and ear for the artistic. All I've got to say is, boy have you come to the right place!! The amazing music lyrics and vibe of Pink Floyd is surpassed only by their artistry. They are for all intents and purposes, an art rock band. One of the pioneers of progressive rock, and among the most influential and top-selling bands in history. The live "Pulse" version of this song is amazing. Also you might want to check out "Comfortably Numb" [studio version first!!] by them. Also, don't worry so much about copyright with Floyd. Most reactors let the songs play right through with no problem at all. The interruptions only ruins the vibe that Pink Floyd music is so known for. Especially the guitar solos. Try not to mess with the guitar solos. David Gilmour's emotional soul piercing guitar solos are considered some of the best ever produced in rock. 👍

So, to fully understand the visuals of the video's structure, you need to look back at all of their albums, each one has a set artistic expression, this song being the Farewell song to the fans, reflects back on over 30 years of music, and calls back ALL of those artistic elements and combines them in totality for this. Listen to this song again in 20-25 years, youre entire perspective on it will change immensely. Its hard not to cry with some decades of life behind you. Other songs to react to? Brain damage Money Mother The wall (all 3 parts) Pigs (all 3 parts) Welcome to the machine Hey you Wish you were here The great gig in the sky Comfortably numb Echos Run like hell Time Shine on you crazy diamond Wish you were here On the Turning Away Just to name a few of their chart toppers, and all of them will blow your mind. Each one has a completely unique and distinctive sound yet they all sound pointedly Pink Floyd. They were not a band that wrotes songs, they wrote entire albums as a singular story and each song is a chapter in the story. Take a dive down this rabbit hole and gain a life wisdom youll not gain from other musicians.

“I know it's not rap but”, are you for real. Anyone who can say that to a Pink Floyd song is unfamiliar with reality. Do you know when Pink Floyd came out and when that excuse for music, RAP Crap, became popular? Pink Floyd were singing in 1964, a full 27 years before RAP even started in 1991. Take my advice, don't talk when the music is playing.
