DILLION, it’s old JOE, the guy that you stoked the fire concerning the love of the Salt, again GOD BLESS YOU. As I’ve said before, you certainly are the MANIAC fishing fanatic that makes me laugh like hell. What’s next, SKISHING with a wet suit at midnight, keep on keeping on young gun and I’ll keep watching, have fun my man, and I hope you get a Nantucket sleigh ride. FISH FISH FISH !!!!!!

Now that's killer for the first time out in a yak. You look like a fresh water bass master the way you handle the gear. You smoked those fine eating Atlantic black Sea bass almost back to back. Great video 😎

Nice vid Dillon! Btw you have to start measuring from 0, since 0-1 makes it 1". If you start from 1 just subtract 1 from the further number :D Awesome fish anyway well over keep size.

Got a lot of years on the kayak out here in Southern California. As for launching. Quick tip. One. Spend some time examining the surf. Watch it for a few minutes and get a timing and feel. See when the lulls are and what they look like. When you go … Don’t be behind the kayak. (I’m right handed. If you’re a lefty, just do the opposite). Hold paddle in left hand and the FRONT handle in the right. Walk out into the surf dragging the kayak. Be about thigh deep. When the last wave passes pull the yak hard with the right hand and get it going with momentum. Hop in and paddle like hell. Also don’t hold the paddle in the middle with the left hand. Hold it kind of where the left hand will go. When you hop in grab paddle with right and you’re already in paddle position. The make sense? You want the kayak behind and on the side. Not in front. And also you need to kayak to have momentum. If a wave unexpectedly comes paddle hard through it. Right as you get into it give one super hard paddle and duck down in one motion. That way if/when the wave comes over the bow it also kinda goes over you and doesn’t hit you in the chest and push you back. Hope that helps. As for coming in, that’s a whole other story. Learn to brace 😂😂😂

We were out in ocean 2 weeks ago about 2 miles off the south shore of Long Island. I saw a kayak out there and thought he must be in trouble. We went closer to make sure he was ok and a young kid (probably 20 ish) was in a kayak like this fishing .. big chop without a care in the world. ... Thought he was nuts but it could have been you.

Great day risky leading to my question. Bonifide 128 pro out in a few months. I’m more than concerned about flipping over or light chops putting me in harm’s way. How safe are these crafts

Great vid! Quick question. How did you store the flounder after bleeding it out? Did you gut it and/or filet it? Also what cooler/bag did you use? I'm getting into kayak fishing and it seems like a lot of kayak fishermen are mixed on what to do after catching a keeper.

Been toying with the idea of a jon boat or a kayak, and I try to hit the nj surf twice a month. I've been out on Captain Steve's Skylarker out of belmar a few times and we seem to go to the same spot as you are. Seeing you paddle out there out of the bed of your truck, catching fish, thats cool as fuck and is totally changing my mind about how sketchy it would be. I was curious how those dudes I see way the hell out there in a kayak do it, clearly don't need to run the jetties. How are the boats around you, do you feel like a push over being a small target? I think thats what has made me hesitate on pulling the trigger...
