Stop looking in house for food, all towns have fruit trees (don't waste energy on orchards) open inven by non pine tree to see darker colored fruit, if find 1 fruit circle the tree with inven open to find more. Move 100-200m away, wait 5 min then check the same trees again, a player in the area causes trees to spawn fruit, and causes mushrooms to spawn in forests. Fruit trees can also be found in forests especially on the edge. To eat rotten or unknown food- you eat 3 bites at a time and wait for arrows to go back down before eating 3 more bites, without getting sick. So loitering in forests or in town causes fruit, mushrooms to spawn. Look up fishing guide which is very accessible for a new soawn- 3 fish will max out your hunger. Carry food, water in your stomach, not your inven. Your levels are not maxed out until it only flashes up 1 arrow. Build imrov shelter on a hilltop to stash food for your next spawn. Look into farming crops.

As someone with about 6k hours on dayz, I could never clown on someone that's new, the game has a very big learning curve and if I see someone new I always try to help them with whatever and I hope for them to stick around enough for them to learn the game and have more fun in it, the game is really unique and most people think its too hard and they stop playing which is really sad in my opinion as I would love to see this game become as popular as it used to be. Would love for you bub games to keep trying the game out and stick around and get some teammates who can help you on your journeys and teach you the game mechanics as this game is really dear to me and would love it to become more mainstream.

DayZ is a much much slower paced game than Rust. There's a reason people call it a walking simulator lol. If you play Official again, my advice is to get food first and then go inland. If you find a sharp object you can skin animals and people for bones which you can then turn into knives and fishing hooks. Also look out for wells for clean water, nearly every town and city has a well somewhere.

-- a + sign next to a crate means there's loot inside. it's vicinity loot. you need to open your inventory near it. -- holding your hands up while walking backwards allows you to block. after the zombie attacks you twice, you can hold left shift and punch to do a power punch and stun the zombie. you can keep timing the power punches to stun lock the zombie. honestly this was painful to watch lol I'm sure youll get the hang of it eventually. -- you can change from 1st to 3rd and vice versa by pressing enter on your numpad. i suggest reading the controls.

Bought dayz cause of this video, cs2 was draining my soul & I can’t thank you enough honestly. Life been rough, I don’t know where I’m going at all in life but at least I can watch the sunset & fish without having to worry about things for a few hours.

I played a free weekend. Zombies were half-stuck in the ground and some were under, biting me and I couldnt see them. I got stuck in a door when I tried opening it. I got griefed by the same guy over and over. I did not buy the game.

DayZ has some of the most cringe and hardcore roleplayers on their RP servers. Cant wait to see Bub wreak havoc lol
