my first time playing GOW! | God of War (2018) pt 1

I've seen a lot of comments talking about Dan not using combos or not fighting at the pace that you think she should. First and foremost, this is Dans first time playing a game of this caliber and this is literally her first playthrough of the game. Of course she's not going to understand the mechanics of a game that you all have put hundreds of hours into. This is her first TIME. This is definitely not a way to welcome a new player to the community yall, DO BETTER. Also, she finished the game yall. Its all on twitch. So trying to backseat and telling her what she should do is pointless and honestly uncalled for. People play games the way they want to, not everyone is going to play the same way as you. This game is meant to be experienced differently and played differently amongst players so if she's progressing through the story and winning fights in her own way why are you mad? And finally, she's on PC so she doesn't have access to all the previous and future games. Have some faith and be patient. Just because she didn't play the previous games doesn't mean anything, she can still equally enjoy this one without every single lore knowledge tidbit. If you're so eager for her to play the other games, buy her a PS5 ;)

Tbh would be nice but i think even in this game you do find out a lot about kratos’s past and in ragnarok so being blind about his past wouldn’t be too bad everything would feel brand new

Three things: First combos will literally keep Kratos alive. Just constantly press the R1 key for faster strikes and use R2 on intervals Second: There is a ton of hidden items and collectibles in the game, so keep your eyes out for any shiny objects, or objects with a dot floating in the air Third: This is the fourth game, and it's very possible to go through this game without any prior knowledge, but the experience is enhanced once you know Kratos and his lore.
