In fact, "Fancy" marked Twice's concept change. Before this song, most of the songs are like "bubble gum" "Cutie" etc. After "Fancy", the songs began to take on a more mature and elegant tone. It was a good start to start listening to Twice from this point in their career. I love your channel and your content. Greetings from Chile✌

Twice is definitely a journey. A pillar of modern kpop, in my opinion. No wild demands or anything, but I think continuing with Twice would be a really interesting contrast to the other groups you’ve been following so far. Yes, they just finished a tour here. U.S., killed it!🤣 Much pressure on female Idols, Mina and Jeongyeon took hiatuses to recover, anxiety. once u get into Twice,u will see their versatility.They have all kind of song and they can do any concept.Girl crush,bubblegum pop,ballad,disco,funky,badass vibe,sexy,mature concept,cute concept,they can do all.I recommend u to react to their first full english song-The Feels And they just kick off their US tour which has been the most attended kpop girl group tour off all time and become the second korean act in the history after bts to sell over 100K tickets in the tour.

glad yo check twice bcs twice is definitely a different side of kpop for you to react to because if I'm not wrong groups you check are more on the girl crush or mature concept (like bp or mamamoo) twice often touch hyper-femininity concept that current generation may viewed as cringy as they heavily based on the 'girl crush' or 'girl power' concepts, but I always love what twice do bcs if girl groups can do girl crush why not cutesy girls concept, right? it's like breathing fresh air lol ps. sorry for the grammar as english's not my first lang:D

This whole song is an ode to young love, falling in love despite knowing the danger of getting hurt or having a bad relationship. The end of the MV where she is hurt is a little cautionary tale. It can feel amazing falling in love and the feeling is euphoric... but the reality is never as rosy.

When a group has 150+ original songs with a mixture of 30+ genres incorporated in their discography there's no "good" or "bad" start. You're bound to love some , feel meh for some , or don't like some. To me personally TWICE has 4 song tiers "Good" - "Very Good" - "Excellent" - "Song Of The Year" (which for the record they have won 3). Early day TWICE (2015-2018) is a happy pill. If you feel depressed just watch a couple of their early stuff and you'll start smiling like an idiot to a screen and start seeing rainbows and unicorns flying in you room. You don't need drugs, just TWICE. Recent day TWICE (2019-now) is more elegant, feminine and mature (makes sense since in their early days half the members were teens). During both eras no matter the vibe or sound of the song they make you want to move.(Especially their latest releases with that disco-funk-synthpop feels are impeccable) BUT there is a catch behind all this. Early days M/V's are all bubbly and fun and many people fell victim to that thinking "Oh. They're just cute" (What I like to call the "Tittle track syndrome") . I was just looking at your post about it, and then saw you have just posted the reaction. Perfect timing. I think Fancy is a good song to start with to check out their more current style. Other songs I would suggest include I Can't Stop Me, The Feels (which is an English song), and More And More (which Bibi co-wrote with JYP). In time maybe check out some of their older songs like "Likey" and "TT", which are going to be a bit of a different style. I'm very curious to see which member you will end up gravitating towards as your favorite.

Yes, great reaction, if you loved 'Fancy' this much, there isn't a MV you wouldn't like!!! Please start from Twice's debut MV 'Like Ooh-ahh' and work your way through, it might take you the rest of the year if you only do one per week lol. Twice just finished their USA tour Sunday night, 🤩they rocked my socks off down in Atlanta on last Thursday. After you go through their music videos, Twice has much more to be checked out! 😉

Most people just breeze over TWICE, assuming it is pop and meaningless. I've never seen anyone seriously examine their lyrics like this. You are truly the Kpop Whisperer, Daniel. TWICE has a great deal of depth, if you look for it. The members have written a lot of their lyrics in the last few albums. If you go forward into their discography from Fancy, the songs have a lot of personal meaning for the members. Also, whomever picked out Chaeyoung's wardrobe for Fancy, you are the MVP.

So excited for you to get into Twice! It was great to see you really enjoy this! Fancy is iconic! Such beautiful visuals in this mv! They have 9 members so more to love! I just went to the concert in Texas and it was so freaking good! They sounded amazing live and did such good performances. And they are whole again with Jeongyeon coming back who was on hiatus for a while. It was so good. Can't wait to see you react to more of them. Their concepts at first were very cute but I think with this song they started showing a more mature concept and it continues through some of the more recent releases.

Twice is really a group who has evolved and matured throughout the years and watching that evolution is fascinating. I'd suggest you either go for their debut Like Ooh Aah to see where they started out, or go for the masterpieces i Can't Stop Me or Cry For Me. Either way, you won't be disappointed!

the message kinda like 'i will fancy you', as EP name 'fancy you' and they used 'psychedelic' genre base for the whole EP. i would recommend, 'eyes wide open', 'more&more', 'taste of love', 'formula of love' albums. yes, i mean, the whole album. also 'perfect world' even it's japanese which that's mean 'very dangerous for reaction' because of their copyright, but, so many good songs there. long list already. have a good day. :)

There is a logical progression if you try watching the chronology of twice mvs. They imagine love (like ooh ahh), they ask (what is love), they get their hearts broken (TT), then they wait for love (knock knock) and then Fancy is them saying they are taking charge of their feelings. no more waiting for someone to knock. then the newer mvs like ICSM is embracing their dark sides so yeah

*Fancy* is a great middle title song from their discography. Like some were saying, this is where Twice kinda changed their concept from the usual cutesy vibe. So from debut, it's like: Cute/Bubblegum >> *Fancy* >> Mature/Experimental It's up to you which side you wanna vibe to next. But know that all their title tracks are feel-good songs (imo). Also, their B-sides and Japanese tracks are on different rollercoaster ride. So proceed at your own risk.
