Might be to hot or uncomfortable but it will save your life and your family will appreciate it. You are a beginner rider, so it’s not a matter of if but when r u going to drop the bike. Ride safe, congrats on the bike!

For making turns, the biggest thing is to hold the throttle, and slowly very SLOWLY release the clutch and if you feel as if the bike is going to drop because your holding it too slowly let the clutch go out a little bit. And you will shortly regain balance.

The more you think about what you have to do, the more you can make a mistake..I recommend work on knowing your friction zone. Also turning wide is because you are fixated on one spot, look where you want to go and the bike will follow. 😊

Work on the friction zone and start small! Practice around the neighborhood at slow speeds just repetitively learning to smoothly stop then get up and go using the friction zone. Learn the clutch and feel the weight. If you have the money, I would highly recommend a safety course somewhere. I started off with 0 experience and just practiced the friction zone and rode around my apartment garage for like a couple weeks. I did the msf course and failed. I practiced more on the road and progressed slowly into more uncomfortable situations. I then got my endorsement through the dmv. Dont be afraid to make mistakes and to look like a beginner. We all had to learn and stall and drop the bike. Be safe and gear up! You got this bro!

If you plan on towing the bike anywhere else, you will want some canyon dancers. Its a bar harness that gives the straps a tie point that is not the handle bars. Bro you did so much better than me so much faster. I had a blast watching this video. Nope not dropping it today!!! 😂🤣😅 Im laughing because I remember the stress and terror from the first ride. Scoot all the way up to the tank, tip toes on the pegs, push knees into the tank(fix the hip). My hands were numb for the first 3 weeks. I still hit the horn unintentionally ALL the time. Congrats on successful trip!!!!!!

in america, do you not get much bike training on the road? like what do they teach you as i see alot of new riders looking very sketchy on their first rides like they have had zero training few tips.. look where you wanna go, the bike will follow.. when slowly down and turn dont grip that front brake, bike will most likely wanna fall, only on straights apply that front brake with mix of rear. hope this helps, get yourself some riding gear and have fun
