So from my understanding the reason why Venom says "That Guy" when he says Spider-Man is because the symbiotes have some kind of cross multiverse connection with their other selves. Venom is a Spider-Man villain who has encountered Spider-Man many times in the comics, video games, and movies like Spider-Man 3. Our Venom in this film has the "memorises" of his alternate versions. Venom hasn't actually met Tom Hollands Spider-Man but he knows of Spider-Man through his variants encounters just not Tom's version of the character as he's yet to face a Venom. Pretty much Venom has read all the comics, watched all the films and cartoons, and played all the video games that feature Venom. Now he's like "Hey that's Spider-Man, I know what I have to do" lol I

The reason why was an Easter egg for the classic comic readers. Every symbiote has a genetic partner that would be a "perfect host".. there are many people that can be a decent host for venom such as flash Thompson and Eddie Brock. But there's very few perfect hosts. Peter Parker is venom's perfect host. He is drawn to him and when they bond, he is the strongest he can ever be. Venom also does not have the harsh feeding requirements when bonded to a perfect host. In the comics, when spiderman was able to get rid of venom, it sparked their rivalry. Venom makes it his life's mission to destroy spiderman because he was rejected by the one being that should have been his perfect match. It's like the ultimate breakup and Venom is a bitter ex.

The symbiotes are basically the more they are colorful, the more they are powerful. Carnage gains power from blood. The more blood in his system, the more powerful he becomes. Carnage is also one of the most brutal symbiotes. Venom gets his personality and vocabulary from the person Venom infects since Venom can connect to the brains of them. Interesting fact is that the symbiotes share one mind across the universes. The reason why Venom says "That Guy" when he see Spider-Man is because of the thing called The Symbiote Hive-Mind and it's is a mental and metaphysical realm that psychically connects symbiotes and their ilk to one-another and their god, while also serving as an afterlife for deceased symbiotes and their hosts. Basically the Venom from Tobey's Spiderman shares one mind with this Venom here. So because Tobey's Spider-Man 3 Venom knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Then Venomverse Venom has that knowledge too. All of the symbiotes were created by a monstrous being named Knull (The God Of Symbiotes) in the days when the universe was young. The so-called "King in Black," Knull lived in the void before the Big Bang and objected vehemently to the creation of light. Also the cop in the movie his eyes turning blue because he's gonna turn into Toxin - the son of Carnage. He possesses vast superhuman strength, and at the time of its birth it was stronger than Carnage and Venom combined. Depending on how angry or upset he gets, he can grow to a much larger size, with large claws and vicious fangs. The raw power of Toxin was so great that he was feared even by Knull. P.S. When Carnage yelled ''LET THERE BE CARNAGE'' watching this scene in the movies was insane! Especially in 4DX was unreal. The vibrating chairs, the lights, the gush of wind and the enhanced audio..insane!

Lethal Protector is a nickname for Venom in the comics and Carnage was in Cletus' blood and Venom is a symbiote, so Cletus turns into Carnage and Venom is like a suit for Eddie

Symbiotes are actually protectors of the universe in the comics. Venom and a few others were kind of like corrupted ones. Venom in the comics started out as a Spiderman villain. Then to an antihero after carnage came into play. Because a piece of venom got sliced off and found it's way to cletus' cage. Thusly, carnage. Every one of venoms children are sadistic and evil and on different level far stronger then him. It's due to him being a corrupted symbiote.

My only problem is Carnage's and Kasady's relationship in the movie, in the comics they had a perfect bond far stronger than Venom and Eddie to the point where the symbiote acted like Kasady even if it was seperated or bonded to another and Kasady's bloodstream was fused with the symbiote. The cop Mulligan is going to be Toxin the spawn of Carnage and is stronger than both Venom and Carnage, in the comics Venom and Carnage feared that Toxin would be the strongest symbiote of the species or atleast on earth.

Fun fact Shriek is actually a Mutant in the comics and in this film they even reveal that her powers come from a Mutation. So does that mean Earth-688 (Universe of Venom movies) has there own version of the X-MEN? Maybe, the film did came out in 2021 and by this point Disney bought Fox in 2019 so the rights of the X-Men are now under Disney and Marvel Studies. Marvel Studios and Sony have a pretty good relationship with there partnership on the MCU Spider-Man movies so I think this is how a Sony movie was able to Mention Mutants/Mutations as Disney allowed them. So maybe the X-Men do exist and who knows maybe this universe has their own Avengers as well. Side note but Fox did not allow Marvel Studios or another studio to use the term "Mutants" or "Mutation" in there films. This is why characters like Wanda and Quicksilver are never referred to as mutants in the MCU and the same reason why the X-Men have yet to show up. They simply couldn't use them for legal reasons. until 2019. So it seems that Disney is okay with other studios using the term and even characters like Shriek in non MCU films. Marvel Studios in general is pretty open with being referred in non MCU films. Also going back to my universe point the end credit scene (Hints at Venom being pulled into the MCU) pretty much confirms that Venom does not take place in the MCU (Earth-19999) but one of the infinite universe of the Multiverse. Pretty much once you bring the Multiverse into the picture everything is connected. Earth-688 is where all the Sony Spider-Man "villain" related movies will take place. So Venom, Morbius, and Kraven the Hunter all take place on Earth-688, Sony's own little slice of Spider-Man related media.

Sony and Marvel have been leaving fun little nods to each other for a few years now. Across the Spider-Verse is a great example. When it comes to the multiverse Legal rights and studios differences shouldn't stop you from being able to reference each other. So it looks like both Fox and Sony Marvel are now more than ever able to connect to the MCU by the multiverse.

Really good movie even if I still prefer the original. My biggest issue is how they butchered Carnage. Don't get me wrong he is terrifying in this movie but the fact that he lost because they weren't fighting as one is stupid. In the comics part of what make Carnage so scary is that it's JUST Cletus with a symbiote. He wants to kill and so does Carnage so Carnage lets Cletus use him as he pleases

So, some important features of Carnage. Carnage is directly bound to Cletus' blood. That is why he is red, but retains a bit of the black from his father. Carnage was a newborn when he bound himself to Cletus, and thus took after him in many ways. This is why he wanted to kill Venom, as he inherited his Host's strong hatred for his father, as well as why he is stronger and more savage than Venom. Carnage is far more Synchronized with his host (Cletus), than Venom is with his host (Eddie), which is another reason why he is stronger. This is even more clear in the comics, as Carnage prefers Cletus as a host, unlike Venom, who spends a lot of his time trying to get back with Spiderman. Two fun facts, the main antagonist of the prior movie, Riot, is actually one of Venom's kids in the comics, in a group alongside Lasher, Phage, Agony, and Scream. The symbiotes don't have actual names as we understand. They take them upon gaining a host, which I don't think is really explained, but in simplified terms, is likely to make communication between symbiote and host smooth. Their actual "names" are more in the form of "emotional wavelengths" which makes sense, as the personalities of Carnage and Venom are DEFINITELY distinct from one another.

the whole point of carnage being worse than venom is because of his bond with cleatus. Cleatus is a psyopath which is why his bond with a psycotic symbiote makes him more dangerous. They are bonded better which is why carnage literally comes out of cleatus bloodstream and not just over the top of his head like other symbiotes. So having them not be symbiotic at the end is kinda mind bogoling.

As an American could I sit through an execution? Probably. It wouldn't be my first choice of activities, but I've seen plenty of deaths furst hand, it would be a change of pace if it was actually someone who deserved it for once. Worst death I saw was on I-40 (NM). This young couple had pulled over, the guy got out then ran right in front of a semi (lorrie). As I was just behind the semi on the right (semi was in the right lane) I had to stop and wait for the cops too. It was instant, he didn't suffer... But his girlfriend, who was 20 at the time was breaking down as she was pregnant... I'd choose seeing a killer or chomo die over seeing instances like the other.
