The cop Patrick Mulligan becomes the host of Carnage’s spawn Toxin in the comics. Toxin is more of an anti hero than a straight up villain like Carnage but due to the fact symbiote spawns are more powerful than their parent and Toxin is the 1000th in it’s line it’s one of the most powerful symbiotes outside of eldritch monsters. If there is a part 3 Toxin is definitely going to be in it.

One crucial thing that they got wrong about Carnage is that Cletus and his symbiote are supposed to have a stronger bond than Eddie and Venom. They even show it physically here, where it’s more like they are fused together rather than the symbiote coming out of him. Very strange choice for them to write in a “they don’t get along as well as us” moment when it’s supposed to be the other way around.

Physically bonded for sure, but they found a point of disagreement in Shriek so it definitely started to fall apart after that. But you're right, they should have pointed out explicitly at first that they were more tightly bonded and *then* started deteriorating.

There are a lot of stories to bring in the big screen for Venom. There are so many Symbiotes in the comics in which the cop actually ends up being Toxin, another symbiote. And yes there's a 3rd Venom on the works. July 11, 2024 is the initial release date for Venom 3.

The movie being pg-13 wasn't a problem for me, for me the problem was that Cletus' and Carnage's bond isn't symbiotic. In the comics they had a perfect bond to the point where Cletus' blood was fused with the Carnage symbiote and the Carnage symbiote itself acted like Cletus whether it was seperated or bonded to another host. Other than that i really liked the movie.

"Silly" is really the best way I can describe Venom: Let There Be Carnage. It is non-stop silly and dumb from beginning to end, yet I can't help but get some enjoyment out of it. Also, that mid-credits scene was PURE HYPE. I miss those times when we were all excited for No Way Home.

Think of carnage as a mixture of almost all of the venom symbiotes that have unique powers, which includes venom In the secret ending venom, and Eddie Brock were pretty much teleported to Spider-Man no Way home and if you look at the ending of that movie or rather the secret ending, you'll be able to see them again… It's a bit disappointing, but it'll help the story along to say that there will be another Spider-Man movie

Maybe things got way more clear when u guys watched No Way Home. In case it didn't, multiverse is the main theme for the new MCU saga, its The Multiverse Saga. Venom is not part of the MCU, but its part of the same multiverse. So far on what u have seen, the following is part of the same multiverse: - MCU - Venom universe - Tobey Maguire Universe - Andrew Garfield Universe - Spider-Verse movies - What If...? And one last thing, Thanos snap does not affect the entire multiverse, it only affects the universe it takes place, in this case the MCU (Earth-199999)

When I saw that Woody Harrison was going to play Cletus, I thought it was perfect casting because he was amazing in "Natural Born Killers" as Micky Knox (Definiltey worth checking out) But they tamed him down pretty bad in this one. He should've gave the "Micky Knoxs" performance on this one. It looked like he was holding back. And yeah, Carnage was a big deal in The comics, same with Cletus Kasady. They were insane. But it was tamed in this movie. Should've been Rated R. But oh well. Can't wait for No Way Home and for you guys to meet Daredevil "I'm a really good lawyer." Matt Murdock. :)

As a fan of the Carnage character in the comics, I was pretty disappointed with how they portrayed him in this movie. Cletus Cassidy and the Carnage symbiote are so connected, that it’s all of the way down to the molecular level, and because of that, he can do so many things that Eddie and the Venom symbiote can’t. In the comics, Eddie and the Venom symbiote always talk in the third person (we, us, our, etc.), and Cletus Cassidy and the Carnage symbiote always speak in the first person (I, me, mine, etc.), but it’s the opposite here.

I love this movie, cause it's just plain fun (and such a fun love letter to the campy, goofy comics from the 90s). You can tell everyone involved is having a blast. Also, the reason Venom is scared of Carnage being a "red one", is that symbiotes get stronger with each generation, and on top of that Carnage being red shows that it's a monster made of Cletus's blood, meaning their bond is better (at the moment) than Eddie/Venom's ALSO, yes, in the comics Carnage can connect with electronics and create tornados. Symbiotes (at least in the 90s comics the movies are based on) are CRAZY powerful. Heck, Nick Fury once said symbioses are in SHIELD's top 5 most dangerous weapons in the universe, up there with Thor's hammer & the Infinity Gauntlet!
