Hi Rohn! I made the gauge swatch and I got the 24 sts per 4", but not the 20 rows. I came a half inch short. If I go a hook larger, would that alter the # of stitches per 4"? I always have this problem and I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I want to get this gauge right. Thanks.

Can I make this pattern with a worsted weight wool yarn like you've done in the video for demonstration? Sock yarn is just way too thin. Would I use a 5mm like in the video? Any directions for modification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Just discovered this sock pattern - LOVE IT!! Have tried on a practice piece of yarn first. Coming along very nicely. One question, when we begin the spiral rounds, are we chaining 1 first before we do the first esc? That's what it says in the pattern but it doesn't look like that's what was done in the video. Let me know. Thanks!!

Also, due to a leg injury I struggle with a swollen left ankel. How do I adjust for this? In my case, working left and right the same doesn't really work. Thanks in advance.

Hello) I would like to thank you.Thank you so very much for this very detailed and extremely helpfull masterclass. Only with you I could finally crochet socks that fit me! Thank you Thank you Thank you. If I may, I would like to ask a question. I did everything with you and by the written pattern. But could you please explaine how you get the number that you get for those very first toe stitches. I mean how do you get 5, 6, 7 stitches? Do you measure the toe? I understand that it might sound strange but still. Some start with ten. Why not start with the chain number that would just cover all toes at once... Just asking because I really dont get this part. Also you did explaine for people who have bigger calfs. But there are some like me. I have a really narrow ankle andasize10 foot. How do you make your sock still be tight arond the ankle? I Thank you again very very much. Thank you for your wonderful work)

Hi Marly and Rohn I believe there is an error in the printed pattern I brought from Raverly. I followed the pattern exactly and it jumps st number in 6 inches size pattern between finish of the toes and the first round in the foot spiral, the final toe increases round 7 for six inches says I should have 44st which I do, but then the first foot spiral round it says I should esc into all st and have 48? Which is correct you say st count is vital bit to ensure proper fit I have the wrong number of stitches from following the pattern so I’m going to presume the pattern is right for the foot spiral not the toe and do one more row, but it’s very confusing indeed! Am I correct?

Let me have the Tech Editor look at this. I will get back to you.
@CraigsOverijse3 жыл бұрын
@@MarlyBird thank you for prompt reply maybe I’m misreading it but I don’t think I am. Will continue with 48 for moment as I think better a slightly larger sock in case it shrinks in the wash but would appreciate it if I know for the future
@MarlyBird3 жыл бұрын
From my TE: "What size are you making? The 6 inch size ends with 36 sts at the end of 6 rows, the foot starts with 36sts. There is not a foot size that ends with 44sts. The Foot and Toe start/end with the same number of stitches. Round 1: Ch 1, place marker in first st to mark beginning of round, esc in each esc around. (36, 40, 48, 52, 60, 64 esc)"
@CraigsOverijse3 жыл бұрын
@@MarlyBird apologies two thing one I realised now that I have been reading the third set of instructions and should be the second plus second I realised that because the figures disappear for the others (5 inch 6 inch) as you move to foot so the placement of the figure to have read is moving with in the brackets so it’s not always in the third place I need to use and that is why I was quite confused. Will now be making for a friend with larger feet because too wide for me with 48 st which is fine just need to make them longer is all will estimate her foot size as I know roughly her foot size from the shoe size she takes. Thanks for getting back to me it made me really study again and realise why I was misreading it. In my defence I’m dyslexic and it really didn’t make sense when I was working it even though I watched Rohn’s video’s but I think I have sussed it out now.

Great tips. Wish I could wear socks. This has encouraged me to find someone who would like a pair!! One issue I have is with one of the commercials that played around the 20 minute mark in the video. This happened on another channel I watched also. A commercial started & became a 40 minute video right at the end of Rohn's presentation. I've been trying to let the commercials run since I learned it increases your revenue. However this is no place fo a commercial turned infomercial. I don't know if you have any influence with you tube to get this eliminated, but it'd be appreciated. It was a commercial about dogs as I recall.
