when i saw the post i couldn't believe it. I love that you visited so many cities in Slovenia and not just Bled and Ljubljana. Fun fact: i work next to the cafe you went to and gotten a croissant in Ljubljana and the couple that owns that place is so lovely. They also make all the deserts themselves!
@paperprint6658Ай бұрын
Thank you for showing us around Slovenia. This country had so many places to go to other than Ljubljana and Lake Bled, which most of the youtubers do not show. Any place we visit seems to be more relatable when we see locals are doing the same things that we do in our every day routine.

Cari, I walked past you on the 25th at the dessert place! I was so confused. I am from a little city in Australia and you live in South Korea, what are the chances we would cross paths in little LJ! Anyway, I said to my husband "the book I'm reading at the moment is because of her!". The clip of preseren square at night with the man playing accordion, we stood there for a while listening to him too. So special.

Great observation about the water color of lake Bled. It's among the bluest in the world from the fact that it's formed of glacier run-off. I cried happy tears watching this video as you went to so many places I visited as a kid when we went for our graduation trip in the elementary school. I am originally from Croatia (just across the border) and we spent seven days in Slovenia as a part of that trip. As I moved to Canada I haven't visited these places since I was 14. Beautiful memories. 🌟💖

@@caricakes Oh yes, Slovenia looks and feels like a fairytale country. When you decide to visit Croatia, go around the same time of year you went to Slovenia, or in May to early June. It will be warm enough (warmer than Slovenia), but without crazy crowds.

Yes, Slovenia is beautiful. The people here have a saying that when God made the world, he had little bits of everything left over and just scattered them over the last remaining bit of land, which turned out to be sLOVEnia. It's always lovely seeing your country through the eyes of an appreciative (and may I say discerning 😀) visitor. 👍Will definitely send a link to your vid to my sister in Australia who's been pining to come back and visit for quite a while now. Stay safe and enjoy your travels. 🤗💖

Cari! What a lovely time! Thank you for sharing. All of those architectural elements and manhole covers! Do you ever think to take a rubbing of the amazing things that are common there? I used to do that when I lived in Portland and in Japan. I made beautiful postcards, letter-writing sets, posters, and t-shirts from the rubbings. Your journeys are inspirational. That was so super awesome! YOU are from there! YOUR people. Was it surreal at times? You can tell. The color of the city is different. The air is different. I enjoyed it when you were in the jacuzzi and spoke about your people being farmers. So sweet. Sorry for the shorthand here. I hope you understand my thoughts. I hope you always read my words knowing that my tone is kind and conversational. What kind of souvenirs did you end up getting? Tea?🫖
