Well done Dave, really good effort. The look on your face at 10:40 says it all, I’ve experienced that frustration many times!!! Some good contacts there, including many of the regulars that I’m used to hearing on my activations.

I like how you gave the weak signal stations a chance in the pileup. Nice vid. You’ve got a new subscriber in Alabama. De Kn4eqg 73

Excellent video David and what a fantastic location to play radio from. Either the bench or the picnic bench would be ideal to operate from on a nice day though I expect there would be other people there. Keep up the good work and hopefully speak soon. 73 Chris M0RSF

Thanks Chris…😊 Yep definitely outside would be lovely, but there were really heavy showers that day and there’s nice comfort in the van too! 😜

Very nice job Dave hope your doing well! I can just about say Flora & Fauna. Yes I would like to see more on how to do the logging/send it off. I found it to be a pain when doing POTA. There’s so much out there but the website are not easy for a first timer Flora & Fauna, Worked all Britain,Castle on the air……Wish there was logging for dummies videos ha ha #me 🤪

Thanks Ryan… Yep when I get a chance to get it all right in my head, I’ll do a video on it.. I also plan to do one on SOTA logging too.

Well done, nice to hear NA in their too calling you. I need to try a FF activation as its much more sought after in EU over POTA.

Hi Colin, Yep, it was good fun and great that you can operate from the vehicle. It means you can get set up comfortably and stay there for a good while trying whatever bands you have available. I do have to get a better handle on the log submission process though.

I always get momentarily confused when someone gives me kilowatt as a phonetic because I’ve spent almost 20 years writing it as kW at work rather than just k 😆

Yeah I've heard some interesting versions of the phonetic alphabet in QSOs! Not sure why operators don't stick to the standard?
