A much underated footballer, always felt he gave 100% and loved the club. Not many of his kind around now.Would love him back at Forest.

a lovely guy - talented dedicated and brave - just the type of player that is needed in todays teams.... you can see the passion in this guy- a true Forest legend...!

To hear the emotion in how he talks about the club and the city of Nottingham is just incredible. The truth is, we are unique and we are iconic. But to have a player articulate that is so special. I hope he knows how highly regarded he is amongst Forest fans to this very day ♥️

Eloquent story from Steve with his definitive views of Forest through his eyes. Great player, mainstay of the team.

I'm not a Forest fan (Bolton Wanderers) but Ive watched a few of these films - you can't help but warm to Steve Stone simply because he comes across as being very modest and lacking in ego unlike the airs and graces of so many footballers

Steve Stone was an extremely good player. I remember when it was a toss-up between him, Anderton and Beckham for the right side of England's midfield. Stone was picked over both of them and scored a bunch of goals. Then he got long-term injured. Ironically, this was probably the most significant moment of David Beckham's career.

Saw Wednesday lose to Forest at Hillsborough 7-1 in mid Nineties. Best away performance I ever saw and Steve Stone was the best player on the pitch..

I love these videos. What I really find interesting is that every player is so grounded with no egos, just good normal lads who wanted to play football and worked so hard to get their goal. There is no wonder, in my mind, why Forest were so successful.

I once saw Steve Stone and Steve Watson with their families at Disney World. This must have been at about 2000 and they seemed just like ordinary blokes on holiday with their wives and kids.
