Thanks for sharing your ink journal. The different ways to keep a journal can be dizzying and it's definitely a personal thing! I ended up buying the Midori colored page tabs to section out my TN notebook that has TRP and my other fav Cosmo Air Light. I wanted to go directly to a color group to locate my inks for reference and this has worked out. I have a smaller notebook that I date and put what I have currently inked so I can keep track of what's in each pen. Since I'm fairly new at the whole thing I enjoy buying 2 and 3ml sample vials so I can have an array of colors to sample for so much less than a bottle of one color. So far I love this way. As I work through and find the inks that jazz me I'll eventually get bottles or maybe just a couple more vials of it! It's always fun to see how people develop their own way to create their journals.

Finally someone told the truth about 'time-consuming-ink-journals' that on top, inks behave differently in each nib size even in our own fountain pens feeds, flow issues,etc plus different paper brands. I enjoy others taking time to do this but I need to work and care for my love ones too so I pause and continue later. Thank you so much for your honesty. 🎉😊

Great collection. I have some of the same Diamine & RO inks. You're right: Red Dragon is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely the red I've used the most and I find myself returning to it over and over again. Dominant Industry's Romania Red is a new favorite as well. Beautifully rich like Red Dragon. Happy I found your channel!

I believe the pronunciation is Nem-o-si-nE, if that makes any sense broken down this way. This is odd because in Japanese an "e" on the end of a word is most often pronounced as a long A, as in Tomoe River or Maki-e. But I speak and read Japanese almost as well as a goldfish speaks and writes Spanish, so. . . Anyway, I don't have the shimmer inks you have, other than Golden Ivy, which is my Christmas ink, but I have all the others, I think. I do have a LOT of scented inks I'm sure you wouldn't like. I love scented inks. Right now I have four pens with scented ink in them, Montblanc James Purdey and Sons Single Malt, Montblanc Wood and Tobacco, De Atramentis Lilac, and Herbin Coco. Three inks I ALWAYS have in pens are Montblanc James Purdey and Sons Single Malt, which is a scented ink, Diamine Red Dragon, and Diamine Ancient Copper. I haven't had any real problems with Ancient Copper. It can crust on a nib if left unused too long, but this harms nothing. I just wipe it off with a tissue when it gets too bad. But Ancient Copper has never caused a pen to dry out. That said, I do tend to use medium nibs, and the few fine nibs I have are very wet. One thing to watch out for with crusting inks, and most inks with an orange component will crust, is getting the ink on the bottle threads. It can dry there and make the bottle extremely hard to open again. Hot water is the secret to breaking the cap loose. The main reason I probably have no problem with Ancients Copper is probably because I seldom let pens sit for more than three or four days, and most get used every three days, max. Even if a pen doesn't dry out when sitting for weeks, bad things can happen to the ink. My favorite gray ink is Montblanc Wood & Tobacco, which is highly scented, but like Montblanc James Purdey & Sons Single Malt, it has been discontinued, so I'm looking for a new gray. I really like Diamine Earl Grey, just as I love Earl Grey tea, but I'm still checking out other gray inks. Anyway, good video and I'm glad you showed us your ink journal. Diamine Lavendar really looks great on that paper. I haven't used this ink in a long time because I have dozens of purple inks, and dozens of green inks, but I'll have to get it out and fill a pen. I'd really forgotten how much I like it.

Thank you for sharing your ink journal. If you want to try a less troublesome ink that looks quite a bit like Ancient Copper, I recommend Dominant Industry's Ginger Chicken, a Wonder Pens exclusive (a Toronto shop).
