The “silver thing” is a strut tower brace. It’s intended purpose is to make the car not flex as much during cornering... the S550 is amazing. I told you it’s amazing. I wish mine had the control valves for the exhaust to make it more subtle in the morning but then again with the Corsa Extreme cat back it sounds so amazing the factory exhaust doesn’t compare. Rumor has hit the 2022 is just a refresh. The S650 is supposedly going to drop as a 2026. Given the current state of things, it makes sense.

This reminds me of when I special ordered my Silver 2018 GT Mustang and it arrived at the dealership with 3 miles on it. They had it in the show room until the weekend when I was able to get there for the purchase. It never gets old driving and hearing the roar of the 5.0 engine and the 460 HP. Hope you get to buy the 2020, it will be well worth it.

Awesome video! I test drove a new manual 5.0 GT and it was amazing! The shifter is placed perfectly and the shifts are short and precise. I also have a white 5-speed foxbody 5.0 just like yours that I love also, but I so thoroughly enjoyed driving the new 5.0 GT much more. As you mentioned in your video, the seats are great. They are so supportive and you just feel that you are one with the new Mustang GT. You would love the new manual 5.0 GT as I did!

I have had both a '16 GT350 and a '17 GT convertible with those same seats...love them. Very comfortable, but still supportive for some spirited drives...and they are cooled, which is very nice here in Florida.

Fast 94 Generally speaking the autos are quicker and more consistent for drag racing, because autos don’t miss shifts when banging gears. Miss a gear in a drag race or slow shift, it’s over. But, Autos also do give up some horsepower to the rear wheels compared to manuals, so I bet on a road course track with a good driver the manual car would hold its own. In bad traffic, manuals can suck, but not everyone can drive a manual, especially in Murcia. Plus “stick” is more fun...good video. Ima subscribe now.

@@robertc4311 Old news, the auto in the newer stangs, especially the 2020s don't lose power compared to their manual transmissions. In many cases, because of how fast and hard those DCT manuals shift they actually end up faster than a manual. 100% though, even a DCT is not more fun to drive a manual and a good drive will always be respectable in a road course where driver talent and lines matter waaaay more than how fast you shift.

If that is the 10 speed automatic, I'd go with that. They are extremely well built and are beasts! They can handle some extra horsepower if you ever did anything to it.

Yeah, the 10 speed has a bunch of preset modes and can shift faster than a human can. If you want to blow someone off the line you just set it for "track" mode and this beast will shift all gears at high RPM right where you need them! I don't know if they even make a manual transmission for this car. If they do, you'll end up paying a premium charge.

@@73challenger5031 The manual is $1500 cheaper. Sure you can't shift as fast, but I test drove the 10 speed auto and still bought the manual. The manual was just more fun to drive, and you aren't really that much slower. You can get to about 114mph in 3rd gear so its only 2 shifts to 100mph.

3:48 that is a strut bar. It's used to reduce body roll during corners. Body roll is the leaning motion a car makes when you are making a hard turn in a corner and the strut bar reduces that motion which allows for better stiffness.

That bar is called a strut tower brace. It stiffens up the front suspension so when you turn the body doesnt tilt and lean sideways. You stay more planted

Foxbody is the baddest of the bunch :). I say don’t get the new GT but completely restore the foxbody to Mint Condition and keep the SN 95 as a daily driver. 3 cars is a lot to keep up with

I paid $34k out the door after taxes and everything for a brand new '17 Base GT back in 2016. Only options spoiler delete and 3:55 gears, manual. If nav, leather, all bells and whistles you can live without the base is still FAR better than any previous Mustang. You can save a ton skipping on the options. I bought those same Power Pack 1 rims and tires used almost brand new for $1600. And other upgrades with the money I saved and installed the parts myself. Or get a used one!

Hello keep youre Fox Body and fix it up. mine went completely under water during Hurricane Katrina. i had it 6 yrs before katrina got it. i never thought i would see it back on the road. took 17 months but its completey restored. it was in 5.0 magazine. keep up the great work. fox body is the Best.

The bar across the engine is a strut tower brace it basically keeps the car from rolling in corners there's probably one across the trunk to that's a nice car your better off with an automatic the horsepower is more responsive you push and go no missing gears and with the right setup that would be a beast

you should go through a few gears in the 2020 GT. Those 10 speed autos shift as fast as a duel clutch transmission. The more they shift the faster they feel, the power just doesn't drop off.

When I was 16, I drove a '67. Now I am 55 and drive a '66. I wish my age would track my car year progression. By the time I croak I'll drive a '65 if I'm lucky haha!!. Anyway, love Mustangs! My vote for best Ford engine is 289, so by extension I am cool with a 302...I refuse to say 5.0L, sorry :). I do like the FBs...I used to laugh at them in high school but now that I'm wiser I like the body style.

That pony has a dual clutch transmission, she shifts like lightning. Too bad I missed the boat by a 1 year, DCT's were standard as of 2018. I've got a '17 with a torque converter, the shifts are slow.

The bar in the engine bay is a Strut Tower Bar, it improves handling. Those wheels are also part of the PP1 package which also have big Brembo brakes behind them!

I know you have one now, but sport mode would have given you a bigger smile at that time. I have an 18 premium with ported intake and throttle body. JLT intake and tune. I put on bprla stakes and to me those are the loudest on the planet for Mustangs in my opinion.. I have the 10sp auto and it kicks ass...!

On the new S550 I would go with the faster 10 speed auto over the manual.

The fox was def comparable to the 2020, I think the 20 had the slightest of edges on the fox but for being 28 years old that's awesome! I have 2 Fox's so I might be partial

Hello from Ontario Canada. The 2020 is a bad ass car. If it was me, I would put some money/mods into the 92 fox vs a car payment. I am a huge fox 5.0 fan and love them done up. I love the content, keep up the good work!

OMG! I actually ordered my fully upgraded 2020 GT from my Ford dealer almost 2 months ago, and it STILL isn’t in yet. I think it’s because of the plant closures.... I’m going INSANE waiting for it to come in! Edit: I ordered the Premium GT tier 2 package, manual transmission, race red with chrome wheels, and all the bells and whistles including the premium B&O sound system. 😃🤟🏼

I've ordered a car is the past too and it took a solid 2-3 months to get to me. Also, you car sounds AMAZING 😍😍❤!! I bet that race red will be beautiful when you get it. What most people don't know is that I bought 2016 race red Mustang GT off the showroom floor several years ago. Sadly, I sold it. But now I am in the market again! Girls Dig Trucks I hope you get a chance to get another new one! Without grabbing my paperwork, I think mine came to right around $56k (I think 🤔... LOL. I was so stoked about the car, I kinda glazed over some of the “negotiating stuff”) 🤣 I’m a tech junkie, and I’m just in love with all the amazing tech in these new ponies! Active exhaust, drive modes, adjustable steering wheel feedback, customizable digital instrument cluster.... and then you drive it... and feel that raw HP with that manual transmission 🤤🤤🤤

I have a 90 & 2003 both manual and a 2019 gt with the 10r80. The 10r80 is by far the best. If you need advice or anything I'm here for you.

You might not know this but with newer cars automatics are usually faster due to the sophistication of modern transmissions. I agree that you can't beat the feeling of driving a manual though. I would only get a manual sports car myself.
