I finally got my hands on France in a HOI4 Multiplayer game, but there's a twist!
This isn't just any competitive HOI4 MP game, it's a Roleplay game where there's actual diplomacy, politics and alternate history in the WW2 setting.
Now you can imagine that this helps France a lot who has vast colonial possesions and more time to prepare for their war against Germany.
Or maybe even ally with Germany, who knows, it is a HOI4 Roleplay MP game after all.

Its not fun if your army gets encircled and destroyed. It's more fun if you use defensive tactics, make fortlines, and slowly retreat, delaying your defeat as much as possible in a defensive war. Nowadays hoi4 players don't do that anymore.
