Keepin it simple is the best way. I was thinking though that there was a little relief under the edge of the binding so it could drop a little below the bottom side of the fretboard. Thanks Ken

I made one out of MDF (with packing tape covering any areas that might get glued). I used two static walls that don’t move, and made a long tapered shim that slides in between the side of the fretboard and one of the walls. That way I can tap the shim in with a hammer and get a lot of pressure on the binding.

I'd add some standard part handles on the screws, that way you don't need any tools to tighten them. But probably tightening them by hand might be enough. How do you glue the teflon? I know there are primers and maybe use some epoxy after soaking it?
