There is a whole variety of mental illness people suffer from that have extremely poor understanding in the general populace - like OCD - but all the artsy games depict depression. The bit with a sewer level reminds me of Casino Royale (the 1967 spy comedy). Two of the characters are fleeing from bad guys, and James Bond’s daughter pulls aside a manhole cover. She sticks her legs in, the music track changes to “Whats New Pussycat”... for about two stanzas. Then her bodyguard drags her away to a much more sensible escape route, namely his car. Edit: spelling

Why do some indie games insist on having voice over that's not trained? I was watching this one indie trailer, amazed by the quality, especially of the musical score, and I cringed when the voice actor started to speak. It's better to use text over an untrained voice actor. In fact, some let's play communities love games that have no voice acting.

He’d note how needlessly specific the game gets later on, for a game thats mechanic was to allow manipulation of the level yet restricts you to complete it a specific way sometimes. Not a personal issue with the game, just something i believe yahtz would complain about

OK when Yahtzee does the monster voice it reminded me of the trolls from the Discworld games, I need to find them and replay them, it's also a shame they didn't make more of them but if they did them now it would probably be messed up like the latest attempt at making a guards guards show was.

Yahtzee nails my 'problem' with Sea of Solitude. Its themes are rather heavy-handed and don't say anything that hasn't been said before and better. Though as it is quite quick to finish, I am not really bothered by it. If you get it for free (e.g. through Origin Access), give it a shot. It might draw you in.

funny coincidence- I did that since it was cheap on steam this month, and I was still annoyed. On top of that: ze narration ist awfool, its leik, ze designer sinks "Hey ei doont neet tu hire ze english talkers, mein englisch ists just pörrfect." I got it on EA-Play though, so maybe that's why I found it worse.
