Well.... There is not really anything "wrong" in this story. Hailey and MC weren't truly a couple, only perceived as one, and she chosed the loser and paid for it, that's all. For once there is no cheating(at least on Hailey's side xD) In a way it wasn't even Hailey's fault for her relationship with MC during High school, she already said to him even before Tony what type she liked and that he was her last resort( the Kapok promise) So yeah, everyone got what they deserved and work hard for.

She did wrong him although not in term of "being a true couple". Remember the cake scene. She definitely knew his feeling for her and took advantage of him being the good guy. He wasted so much time on her and she played along with that until she met Tony.

But one question: Even if you do help her out, will she even accept the help?? If she does then good for her but what if she doesn't accept your help, will you still force yourself to help her??
