omg I can't tell you how much you just helped me. I recently went to Sally's and I asked the women for her opinion and she recommended an ultra bleaching powder with 40 volume. Never will I ever ask for help at sallys again

Im so glad I can help! People generally think the blonder you want to go, the higher the volume you use. The key is to go blonde in slow increments in order to keep the hair as healthy as possible, using a lower volume. 40 is extremely powerful and in my opinion should be used sparingly, as tim end patience will give you the same result with lower volumes. And ps- if you're only using hair dye, you usually never need to use higher than 20 on the root :)

That was the same exact question we asked her! Lol the world will never know :( We had Chi color at the time in school, which would have been such a better choice! lol

I went to beauty school too and girl, I can’t even tell you how many times I saw this happen!!! Haha 😂😂😂 Oh my- like the time I went from having black hair to platinum blonde. I definitely melted the crap out of my hair 😂😂😂 thank goodness I learned a lot since then!!!!
