Belgium's defense has been a problem ever since Kompany retired, he was a really great organizer and leader. Honestly, we have a lot of exciting attacking talent so I can see us scoring 2 or 3 in each one of those early games to get us through to the quarters. There's no expectation from Belgians to win the tournament, so maybe that will free up the players to just play ball and maybe surprise some neutrals.

The Netherlands are not finishing 3rd in that group. I'd say they're 5th favourites for the tournament itself and will only finish 2nd in that group because there's France there. The Netherlands are in form, their midfield is seriously good after a long time with players like Schouten, Veerman, Reijinders, and Koopmeiners, and with the likes of Gravenberch and Wijnaldum complementing them (even with injury issues for Wieffer and Frenkie de Jong. They have a top-class defense with Van Dijk, and the likes of De Ligt, De Vrij, Ake and Van de Ven complementing. They have a decent GK in Verbruggen after a long time. There are question marks about their attack, but Memphis has been good for them overall, and then there's the emergence of Xavi Simons, with Gakpo and Malen as options as well. Frimpong has had an excellent season as well. I think they'll go a long way.

O'Riley hasn't been picked because Kasper Hjulmand (the coach, not the Morten Hjulmand the player) is too set in his way of thinking. The last two friendlies, though, has shown some pretty good signs. But it's an absolute joke that O'Riley hasn't been picked. In relation to the whole WC thing; The team was very much against the tournament being in Qatar, and it felt like the pressure coming from us Danes, because we didn't want them to take part in the tournament, and to make a statement by not going, was too much.

Especially a team that topped their qualifying group and had the third best defence out of all teams in doing so. It's more of a Euros expectation than a Euros prediction. Also, walker couldn't pass him, Mbappe beat him again with his speed. We know how many goals he scored in the matches he played against City, even at a young age. He's the best player in the world. As a Dane, I wouldn't say I was shcoked that O'Riley didn't get the call up. Kasper Hjulmand, very much like Southgate, is a coach who values squad relations, especially within a quite complicated system, that uses several different formations. Plus Matt O'Riley has only just changed his allegiance and only has two caps. So Kasper went with experience and reliability. Especially since he's under pressure after the WC to get results. The one thing that encourages me is that in thepre-tournament friendlies against Sweden and Norway we saw much more intensity than during the qualifiers, and Kasper said that he expects Matt to have a future for the national team. So I'm 100% sure we'll see him in the Nations League next season.

0:30 I may be able to respect your opinion, but looking at facts and experience, I don't see any manager having a better record than Didier Deschamps. He is the longest-serving manager at this tournament (12 years), with Gareth Southgate 2nd at 8 years. He has made 3 of the last 4 international tournament finals, won a World Cup and a Nations' League, finished dragging a national team out of the abyss (after Laurent Blanc started the work) with the 2014 World Cup, and led Monaco to a Champions' League final. Julian Nagelsmann has not achieved this much yet, and still has a long way to go to even match Didier Deschamps. Good luck to him, but I cannot see how he is the best given what Deschamps has done.

Koeman has shown some good tactical stuff in the last two friendlies. He isn't perfect but doesn't deserve the amount of stick he is getting. Think we will get second in the group then out quarter finals against Portugal, despite the injuries. Although he might be smart enough to go for third so we avoid Portugal lol. We always lose to them. You do realize Koeman's Dutch beat Southgate's England right? And that he had nothing to do with us not qualifying before. Our big France loss was due to injuries and illness for the rest we have either won or been competitive against big teams.
