One of my favorite songs. I listened to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn , Frank Sinatra, Sting, Anita Baker, Michael Buble, Chet Baker and they were all great, but T. C.' TC Carson performed an acapella version of Bill Withers' "Grandma's Hands" and changed the title to "Ndugu's Hands" in honor of drummer and U.S.C. Professor, Leon Ndugu Chancler at his funeral on March 6, 2018. The arrangement was a combination of T.C.'s extraordinary baritone timbre and his powerful "beat box" tom fills designed to pay tribute to Ndugu's massive talent as a percussionist. I was aware that T.C. is a serious vocalist but had no knowledge of this recording as I just happened to stumble upon it. I am pleasantly surprised to see that Ndugu was the drummer on this session so TC singing at his funeral makes perfect sense to me now. Solid performance of one of the most iconic pieces of music ever composed. Great job T.C. R.I.P. Ndugu.

TC Carson Thanx, I'll most definitely check it out. Betty Carter must have been an influence on the way you deliver a song. I hear a lot of her technique in your voice, and it sounds amazing. This Man is so gifted this is the best version I’ve ever heard and I have heard so many versions as this song came out in the late 1930s and after at least 1600 people have had their own versions of this song TC Carson sings this so well it almost makes me cry when I hear his version of the song it’s a shame that his musical career was in the background. He is so gifted and I am so thankful that we are able to enjoy his beautiful, gifted voice.
