I like all the choices of brands and devices you made when putting this setup together. Also, Many of the concerns you discussed such as table height and 120hz monitor are good points which i always consider. No bottle necks, You will enjoy this build for years and have room for upgrades. Nice job man

The CPU vcore is set at 1.356V. The max recommended voltage for an i7 3770k should be around 1.4V. Make sure your max temps are below 90. Tjmax is around 110c.

thats a shitty computer. i mean seriously right now i use a gtx 780 (the equilvalnt of its time) and have the same cpu and an evern more expensive case, yet it took about 1200 to build the pc. 16gb of ram is a waste of money, that ssd is a watse of money back then you could have got a 250 gb samsung one that would be even cheaper. this guy probally has a 300 dollar motherboard lol. for 2000 i can build the same pc with tripple monitors

My point is that CLC is better, aircooling is hot hair being blown through fins that is supposed to make the copper cool and it doesn't work. With a radiator it takes fresh cool air and cooling liquid,not to mention it makes the aesthetic appeal better as well.

dual gpu cards are different, when in crossfire they do mirror the 3gbs for each gpu, but in games that dont use crossfire all 6gbs are usable in the 7990. thats the reason i got the 6gb version of the 7970 to crossfire it so i wouldn't get a bottleneck.

doesnt really matter, all i meant is that for 2000 bucks he could of gotten a far more powefull pc. a 7970 is close to performance to a 680, at 1080p it performs on par with a 670 and sometimes a 680, and at higher resolutions or multi monitor setups it outperforms the gtx 680 due to more vram. the 3570 is better for older games that only use 4 cores, but a fx 8350 is starting to outperform it in games that use more cores like bf3/bf4 and crysis 3 and gets close to the i7 for about $130 less.
@travpark8163
@travpark8163 11 жыл бұрын
I still use one, but most just dont find the use of them.. as your keys (if the games are on steam/Origin/EA etc) your keys will work there, and you can DL them from there. And some just dont see the point in wasting a bay as for the example above, and give u just the extra little room for airflow, and makes it look nice and tidy. If they do need one, then you can just buy a $20 USB Drive to use, and go using. Thats the reasons ive seen.
@TheMike089367
@TheMike089367 11 жыл бұрын
ive done test via after burner and sometimes uses over 3gb of vram rarely but it does. same with my intel setup it has 3 way titans and it always uses about 2-3gb sometimes more in games, in applications like video rendering and ect ive used all 6gbs on the titans. just because the titan and 7990 are 6gb cards doesnt mean you can use all of the vram in gaming.

i7 will help you for the thread loving games that are coming out, BF4 is rumored to have better HT support. However, the difference is minimal. With an i5 I jitter rendering while recording, with an i7 I do not. I do lots of rendering so, my money for i7 is well spent. This PC you've built is fantastic, and perfect for your use, screw the haters. haha.

I like the video card, that is pretty cool, and the case is pretty nice... the 2 terabyte drive is nice as well and the 120 gb ssd is good too!! So you got some nice things there... pretty amazed you can get your cpu as high of an overclock as you say with a zalman air cool heat sink... bet the temps are fairly high though!! All in all, not bad for 2k...

Check the link in the description: "Our eyes can indeed perceive well over 200 frames per second from a simple little display device (mainly so low because of current hardware, not our own limits). Our eyes are also highly movable, able to focus in as close as an inch, or as far as infinity, and have the ability to change focus faster than the most complex and expensive high speed auto focus cameras."

i know that, the gaming consoles are amd optimized so i bought the 8350 for that purpose, i am probably gonna upgrade the 7990+7970 for a r9-290x xfire or 3way soon i already have some money saved for 2 if they are $700 as the rumored price. you cant be a respectable pc gamer if you cheap out and get cheap pc parts. i plan on keeping the 8350 for another year or maybe 2 unless amd comes out with a cpu that supports pci 3.0.

if you read what i said correctly i said even with a custom waterloop i tried it with it wouldnt overclock that high unless i upped the voltages to over 1.54 so the h100i is good enough for a decent overclock with the 8350 at 1.452 voltage. the 7990 cost me about $550 and the 7970 cost me around $350. i play with 3 monitors so at the higher res the gpu isnt bottleneck as much in crossfire mode. i also have another pc than my amd one an intel i7 extreme build. i dont get any artifacts at all :P.

Hi, most ppl tend to use External Drives like Blue-ray Players if they need to install anything or want to watch a movie on the Pc ! not having an Bulky CD drive can be for many reasons i guess ? but as for me it's down to more Air flow, Less weight and why use an internal one when you get a External one that's very Slim and also plays Blue Rays and 3D's ! saying that yes you can get an internal one that can do that but its down to choice ! hope this helps!

Actually, some of that isn't true. My dad asked me to build a server, so I was all, "Okay, then the cheapest yet most core would be the 8350." I used 1866 kingston RAM, Asus am3 motherboard, and since this was a server, 8400 GTX. I was going to upgrade my current computer, and I tested my old setup to the new server I built. It took the server with the 8350 almost 1 minute to complete a test, my old setup took a few seconds. I was using a 3350p in my old one. 3350P blew it out of the water.

30 FPS is very noticeable in games, in comparison to 60 FPS. Also, of course the GTX 690 is a bit too much - it's a dual GPU card, aimed at people running either 4K or triple 3D monitor setups. You can get the GTX 660 right now for around $150 in the certain places, and the GTX 280 still costs around $80. There's absolutely no reason to buy the GTX 280 now, as you're going to need to upgrade it very soon anyways.

Clearly he wants to have a good experience playing the game, and he also wants us to have a good experience watching the game play. If he didn't have all this, watching all his videos wouldn't be as pleasant as they are now. So in my mind he made a good decision when he bought this. And if you are a person that likes to watch his videos you should be happy that he has all this as well.

And you are explaining that to me as if I'm not a PC gamer as well. Well I personally like bigger monitors for gaming. I can see more, spot the enemies easier and it's all and all a better experience. Recently my 22 inch monitor broke, and I've been using my 32 Inch TV on my desk and I can tell you, It's way nicer and way easier to play FPS games on a bigger screen. One thing is for sure, from now on, I'm never going below 27 inches for desktop use. And how bout 4k on a desktop? The PPI man...

I thought you can change the colors on all high-end Razer keyboards, looks like putting some multi-colored LEDs on a 100 dollar keyboard is a difficult task for Razer engineers... I suspected that only some keyboards have the color change options but I wasn't sure, thanks for clarifying that...

The new MSI GS70 Stealth is a really good gaming laptop for the money (£1800) I can't remember the specs but it has Haswell 4700 (I thinkm its deffo i7 but cant remember the exact number) and a GTX 765M, my mate gets 40-50FPS on Skyrim with Ultra settings and most off the HD Texture mods. So it's pretty good for a laptop, I use a iMac as my main computer but am going to be getting the GS70 for taking to mates and playing games at theirs and while im in bed. It'll suit me.

I do rendering recording and everything like that so i need something top of the line to make sure i have no problem recording + playing bf3 at the same time takes up a lot of cpu utilisation and i5 would struggle with what i do now i mean my amd phenom 970 x4 just about handles it :/. and not really i7's are awesome overclockers and makes u future prrof for a good couple of years were 4 cores will be out dated sooner or later. i can understand why people buy i5's but for me i7 is essential
