That looked like a fun day out. That double cheeseburger looked just as good as the trails. The rampage lines always look cool as does the no foot can. Kara rode Cougar really well.

I’m long legged 34” and used to race xc on 26” and when everyone else went 29” and I stayed with my 26” Anthem as I loved it so much I was left for dead. Had to get 29” to keep up, simple as that. I’m looking for an E bike and like the look of the Canyon but it’s a mullet and instinctively would go for 29” all the time. I have an E bike cargo bike with 20” wheels and do I feel every bump on that thing ! 29” just roll over things so sweetly.

29” 29” are great for straight line but if you wanna rail turns in the bike park I prefer the mullet setup

I'm gonna stick my neck out here. That Cougar trail, looks more like a red to me. Apart from the step down at the end, it looks reddish. Though, it does look like loads of fun.

yeah, i have to agree. However, i think it was a 2 dot trail before,as well as ski run, which im guessing is around red difficulty but now are somehow classified as double blacks. recently all of the trail ratings have increased during the time that a lot of trail refurbishment was going on. if i had to guess, it would be to make sure the new families and new riders coming from the green trails dont send it down a trail that might be too difficult for them and end up injured.

All the black and double blacks at Forest of Dean are basically reds. There’s a couple jumps / drops that I’d say are black features

The grading systems here in the uk vary so much! I think most black trails in the UK are only red in other countries!🤟

Fod has the worst rating system, it’s a techy red at best, a double block diamond anywhere else even in uk would actually be difficult

yeah, cant believe that ski run went from a red to a double black 😂😂 the only trail changes was that they flattened the road gap (althouh i think it was due to some electricity line issues) and removed the little stone gap/drop at the bottom jumps.
