Better to be up front and not get him in the first place, than to waste his time and yours being someone else and lose him when he sees who you really are. While the odds are against you, it's true, of finding someone who can and will be with a single mother. You have no chance of finding someone who will be with you after such a large and horrendous lie. Don't try to make someone fall in love with someone you're not, then be surprised when he's not in love with who you are, an untrustworthy liar.
