Newbie in your channel, very inspiring. You're the master. One question; why don't you start the work out with the less assistance bands or weighted belt and continue the training at the same time that your energy levels are decreasing? Thanks in advance

Welcome for the channel, and thanks for your kind words. In that video, I did slightly adapt things to try and make it slightly better for the viewer. Your suggestion is a good one!

I am preparing a pull-up training program on my channel. The first level will be for those who can do 6-8 pull-ups, I think I will start uploading it within a month. I did 12 pull-ups, then I started training according to this program and in 3 months my result is 18 pull-ups! Now I want to share it with everyone.

Great video! Gotta find a better setup for the weight plate though (as you probably know now). Can't have it swinging all over. Most people I see have it laying flat across their shins.

Wow amazing and time efficient! Even now you do muscle up workout 2 times a week (Mon and Fri) and another day (Wednesday) for body weight 100 pull ups? Also, the bands would have become quite loose by now, do you replace them?

Good idea to do it with a rubber band, I've never tried it. I had to work hard to do 5 muscle ups in a row now at 60!

Thanks for another great video! Curiously, are there any advantages of the nylon corded weight belt you're using over a more conventional metal chained belt?
@funwithcalisthenics4 ай бұрын
Yes so much quieter when training early morning below my daughter’s window as she sleeps. Also, they don’t scratch the weights, or rip holes in my tee shirts.

I am impressed with your warmup routine. Is that something that you have always done, or is it something that you added over time? For me, unlike say running, I tend not to do any warmup before doing my pull-up sets. I wonder if it would make a difference.
@funwithcalisthenics4 ай бұрын
I never used to warm up at all. But recently I thought, I’m getting older, I need to be more be more careful and warm up the body. Also, warmer muscles work better, so in theory, should perform better too. So I have started to warm up, and working to include this in sessions.

I'm at around 72 pull-ups a day, 6 sets of 12 clean slow reps. 4days/week. I do spread out sets from morning to evening. Wonder if this is a good idea, since my heartrate stays under 100. Still, can't muscle up without band. Used a 40kg band and it send me almost flying over the bar. Did a few muscle ups like that. But was very hard on my wrists. Since then I have pain in my left wrist for weeks. Strangely enough I still can do pull-ups and dips without pain. But the wrist pain is only there with push ups and muscle ups. Any ideas to improve my wrist and unassisted muscle ups? I have small tiny wrists, but my elbows and forearms have become huge by training for years. Popeye effect is kinda cool.
@funwithcalisthenics4 ай бұрын
Wow, great story. No advice about wrists I’m afraid. I’d just stick with pull-ups for now. 72 spread over the day is great. Keep going.

Do you keep a journal of your sets and reps, or do you train by instinct?

I used to train in a very random way, but over the last d few we years, I design a program usually for 6 or 12 weeks, then stick to it. Then design another program..
