I love the 500 hours outside idea! I live in an outdoor enthusiasts paradise but rarely ever actually go out and enjoy it so I think I may just steal this idea.

There’s a free app called 1000 hours outside where you can log your time each day and it keeps track for you. It’s a lot more time than you’d think! I didn’t reach it this year but I hope to next year!

I find it so fascinating when you note how many times you did certain things like the #of hours outside or #of uses of eyeshadow etc. how do you keep track of these things daily? Do you stop in the moment to note it or do you recap at the end of the day? I think it’s awesome to track more and I did just get a bullet journal so I have a blank canvas to work with but I don’t know how I would remember to do this daily - can you share your methods and walk us through how you do it maybe in one of your next vlogs we can see it in action

Yes, I will definitely share in the next vlog! I use apps to help me! I use an app called “counter” for the makeup and project use it up stuff. I typically track that after I do my makeup. It’s just tapping the item I used and it increases the total number. Super fast and easy for me. For the 500 hours outside I generally do this at the end of the day. For nice days when I spend a lot of time outside I’ll note in my notes app what time I go outside and what time I’m inside and do the math. For now in the winter I can count the minutes at the end of the day. A minute walk from my car to the grocery store door. Two minutes from store to car because I had to unload and return the cart. That kind of thing. I use the free app called 1000 hours outside. It gives you a calendar to log your time each day and it adds it up for you which is super helpful! The third and final app I use is called “habit” and that’s where I put the other goals I want to track. You pick how frequently you want to do the goal - like daily, 1x a week, or 10x per month - and you tap to log as you go. I have a reminder set up in this app to help me be consistent. It goes off at 9am. I have morning skincare, night skincare, track time outside, workouts, etc listed and the reminder really helps me not forget. For smaller things like try new foods, I just write in my planner when I do those instead of on the app. For the larger ones that I use apps for I then update my planner monthly and color in the squares to see the visual progress.
