@ Anthy Jian didn't perpetrate it because she had no intention to continue with the lie. Given the situation she was in she came clean to the son and had a plan to tell the truth but he also encouraged her to delay it. The issue with Jian is that she takes other people's feelings into consideration too much especially her mother even when her mother was wrong. She wanted to fulfill the promise on the project but also bow out before the announcement. Her mother did 2 things wrong. Send the wrong daughter and accept the restaurant. If she confronted her mother and parents sooner this farce would have come to an end.

I mean sure Jisu is also an innocent party here but she has had life easier than Jian, not a bad thing at all, but she was content with life, she was happy.
