My grandmother taught me to cook Bread in a wood-fired oven! Ukrainian traditions

Hi there! Today I decided to show you my great-grandmother's house. I hope I managed to convey to you the atmosphere of this incredible house. My grandmother taught me to cook bread in a wood-fired oven. And now, I want to share this knowledge with you and show the process of making the tastiest pastry for me.
To make homemade bread, I used:
- 4 types of flour (ordinary, whole grain, corn, rye)
- yeast
- water
- kefir
- salt, sugar
- sunflower oil
- onion (for onion bread)

My great granny had baked her bread in her woodstove, always delicious. The conventional oven that doesn't have that same feature but serviceable. Wood oven & woodstove are so much better.

Before electricity, people still enjoyed company, food, dancing, music, all the simple things for a full package of life. I wish I could have smelled the bread baking. I wanted to tase the onion bread. My dad's oldest sister used to bake it and would always bake some just before we would go to visit. Aah, she speaks! That was a nice intoduction. When you were kneading your cat I thought your were warming up your muscles for Kneading the bread. Kitty certainly enjoyed it. And got some bread too. I should have been a cat. I love the wooden ....bowl? trough? Really is a great size for mixing alot of things, bread especially. I wonder if I cn make one? Use oak I would imagine. I noticed alot of people in Ukraine use yeast cakes. Is that because of availability or is it better to use for baking? I've never used it before. It was very nice to watch you with your Great Grandmothers Bread. Looked very delicious. And using 4 types of flour. Never thought of that. I'm sure it smelled like heaven in there too. Actually they should make perfume and cologne of fresh baked bread. Think of all the romance that that would produce, eh? "Ode to Bread". I think I have a million $ idea, right? Someone get Chanel on the horn. 🍞 Thank you for the video. Now I have to find some fresh baked bread. I'd make it but the last time I did the crust was so hard. Inside was wonderfully soft but that crust. You needed a handsaw to get thru it.🪚🪓⛏
