I consider that if I don`t own the skills to backflips bar spins and insane jumps, I do not experience the bicycle at its full potential. Also, it is important to master the jumping skills, it can save your life.

Hey Ryan, a few years ago when I was living in Chama, NM, this guy whose trail name was Otter camped in our yard for a few nights while he rested. My friends (I was living in the apartment above their house) had met him on his last through hike through there. He had done all three of the big through hikes several times. He knew his way so he was just using downloaded maps on his phone and recharging when he got to towns. Well, he got caught in a storm near us (my friend tried to get him to wait until after the storm had passed before going back out). Someone at a Forest Service office in a town in southern New Mexico swore she saw him come in and so the search was called off. He spent from mid-November to February slowly dying in a FS outhouse. If he had had a paper map and compass, he’d be on a new adventure today. As fall begins, do now take dumb risks in the Rockies. Paper map and compass doesn’t weigh much when you consider it can be lifesaving.

Why would a paper map and compass made the difference for him?

This video that shows you the equipment and utensils for this bike trip will be useful for cyclists who want to take trips off conventional roads, escaping the traffic of major highways and exploring trails and rural roads. I was researching the most varied assembly models for transport, I am already interested in doing this type of activity. Most bike travelers use the alfajores installed on both sides of the back of the bike and are heavy and limited when it comes to passing obstacles. I really liked the tips you gave us cyclists. I'm from Brazil and here unfortunately, this equipment is expensive and some of them don't have it in our country, but there are many of us Brazilians who do bike trips like this. One day I would like to see the USA from coast to coast by bike. But it would be interesting for you to get to know the landscapes of Brazil by bicycle.

bleach and washing soda are great for laundry on-the-go and hygene. im a big fan of taking chloroseptic and q-tips for sudden naso-pharangeal disease. nutrogena norwegan handcream is a great skin product btw, multipurpose. tape tent floors, foot prints are not practical IMO. you have a vitamin, creatine, beta alanine? never use deet on skin, 5% is ok but it really causes bad heat-stroke like effects(easy to source).
