It’s part of the amusement park. Place is cool, you can shoot a tank cannon, fire crazy guns, go on the safari, eat at tons of different food at restaurants and more. Fairly affordable too. It’s like Disney but spread out over the Texas hill country

Charlie: "They won a war against Australia". Yes when over 20,000 Emus go up against 3 Military personnel with 10,000 rounds of ammunition for their 2 Lewis machine guns. I think the decision was already decided on who would win. Also they could take up to 6 bullets and still run at full speed to safety and one of the men sent to exterminate the Emu's compared their durability to tanks. The towns that were affected by the Emu's which are now ghost towns because of it are Campion & Walgoolan.

@@bridgerfinch131 We introduced a bounty system after we ended the operation which was quite successful, at the end of the Emu bounties there had been over 10,000 Emus killed so we got some payback in the end. Besides at least we didn't lose to Insects like China in the 4 Pests campaign which killed millions of Chinese civilians (mostly farmers) you should look it up it's quite the read.

When I was younger on a church choir tour we stopped at this zoo that had an overlook into a giraffe enclosure where you were slightly under their eye level. One of the giraffes wanted to eat another person's feed for the animals and trapped me in the corner with it's neck and they feel so incredibly soft.

There are Sahara Ranches, which are huge enclosed areas for wildlife like this. Some of them are rescued from exotic pet owners, zoos, and animal trafficking. Others are born there as relocating them to their home continent is out of the question. Texas just happens to have a close enough biome to Africa, as well as a ton of open space to make this work.

@@JustAnotherAlex small, pedantic correction: a similar biome to the savannah grasslands of Africa, which can be found in parts of the Eastern Southern, and Central regions! you gotta remember that Africa is a massive continent with various different biomes - it can range from rainforests to snow capped mountains :) these places are pretty cool! sick that wildlife is being protected like this. it’s awesome of texas to use their nature to create safe savannah habitats!
