My Grievances With Raiding In World of Warcraft

While raiding can have its frustrations, trust that I still love it. Those raid leading guides and healing guides will be on their way! I just needed to get this off my chest. Enjoy the rant! One of the most difficult things is to communicate to people that they're not 'ready' to care about parsing to the extent that they do. I love when people want to improve and compete at a higher level, but sadly this almost never seems to translate into them being interested in the real side of their parses - the parts that show that despite their decent damage, they actually made the encounter harder for everyone else.

The "single player wow" vs team based wow is difficult to fix sometimes.

Love this breakdown. I've never been big on the individual parts of raiding (parsing, BiS drops), it's always been about getting the clears and having fun for me. To that end, raiding with a great group will always beat out taking things super serious to me. You can always have room for both. Also, shoutout to that single Ele Shaman 😂

One of things that always amazes me is that a lot of people don’t look at logs beyond their parse after a boss is downed. For figuring out why pull failed than just looking at in-game meters. Like during one heroic Fyrakk pull where someone yeeted a bunch of the screaming souls at some newly spawned healing ones. Also there is just a lot of interesting but somewhat useless info about how wow stores casts of particular spells. Like how me, as a VDH, and my fury warrior friend compete for most cast per pull because of how WoW logs the rampage slashes and individual soul fragments as their own individual casts.

So, Bowser, I was afraid to push high keys in M+ and you showed me it is possible (with Prevoker even that I thought completely useless in the beginning and now is my favorite hero)... and you know what? I am afraid of raiding so.... please....do your work and get me rid of it :D :D

I tend to worry that I'm being judged for my not so great healing logs, but if no one is dying.. I'm dpsing, rather than trying to snipe heals quicker than the next healer, as long as it's all under control why not?

On the subject of healer parse padding, or aka the DPS parse conundrum on follow mechanics, it'd be a good incentive to have mechanics trade on the raw damage they do, for some negative DPS effect insteads. Nothing drastic, like -5% to haste or crit per hit mechanic, just enough to incentives dodging and interrupting.

Thank ya also apply mythic plus please punish DPS so not standing in mechanics actually do them meant be so apply debuff can't be dispell have wait it out so healer can say hey you being dumb so this isn't my fault. My job keep you tank alive tank job is to well tank sh get face beaten in your job is reck sh since we can't do that as quick without ya sorry had lot bad mythic plus people both as tank and healer pisses me off I tanked and healed not best I admit if I f up especially knew was me but some DPS need take responsibility to. If one DPS does take responsibility and trys fix your mistake or learn from them I respect ya highly

People dont raid for experiance, they raid for items. You getting loot over them isn't a issue, but spending 3-4 hours 2/3 days in a week and not getting not a single item is annoying and it feels like waste of time. Everything is about gear not fun anymore.

Then they should super check themselves. If you don’t wanna do the content don’t do it. If you want fear there are many viable ways to gear. I am not the biggest fan of how loot in raid works baseline. But also people become awful about loot when there are solutions to their issues, or they maybe don’t need to play if it messes them up as bad as I’ve seen it
