Ruth Ann, your KZbin channel has many qualities that "fancy" channels do not. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you had the courage to step out and start your channel. You have Godly wisdom, you carry the joy of the Lord in your countenance, and you are not afraid to just be yourself! I have learned far more than I ever expected, and it's not the information I have gathered, it's the transformation that is taking place in my heart through your example. 🥰

Ruthann- sending Love to you and your family from Canada 🇨🇦 DON’T change a thing about the channel. I appreciate you remaining “RuthAnn Zimmerman”…..same kitchen (which many of us would appreciate loved cupboard doors), same Love and kindness to the kids being kids……and helping all of us to not be as fearful of canning and other household-meal management!!! I look forward to your videos and send many of them to our first born child away at University!!! Thank you for all you give to us and the channel!!! ❤😊

I find that a lot of the channels i watch start off as what i consider "normal, down to earth, wholesome" people, unfortunately they always change once they gain popularity and income from their channel and it becomes less relatable to me and i start to get bored with it. I would much prefer to watch videos from a channel like this, the "quality" doesn't bother me at all 😊

Love your gardening and planting analysis regardless of this current US and Canadian bureaucratic rules and zones being dictated . This is more for their climate obsession ideology than using your common sense and experience over the years. This control on planting and farming across the nation and countries is an attempt to stop those living off the land and maybe offering their produce rather than using controlled food supply monopolies. We need to resist and carry on relying on Superior guidance.

"The Wisdom of Ruth Ann"! As a Traditional Naturopath, I've taught about parasites for over 40 years. It is not well received by some of my clients. They can understand that their pets may need de-worming but, they don't. The fact that they let the animal "kiss" them and they sleep with them, doesn't seem to make it to their "common sense" area that they too need to do something to rid their intestines of these parasites. Black Walnut is an excellent astringent and has been used by many older cultures in the spring to "cleanse". Thank you for talking about these "old world" health habits, I appreciate you! I live in England in a city, so no connection to farming at all, think the closest I get to it is trying to grow tomatoes and maybe cucumbers. That’s the extent of my gardening prowess. People also don’t understand that growing zones differ in an El Niño year vs La Niña year. I can go from a 6b to a 5a depending on just that alone! We are at sea level not too far from the ocean so I 100% agree that while growing zones are “helpful” they are *not at all accurate to your home* and it _literally_ says that on the USA.Gov website. Critical thinking + experience is what is required to be a good gardener and you have that in spades ❤

Used to tell folks that transplanted from the north, if they plant some plants that they used to enjoy in the north might not be making it in the south, so don't get used to it, and sure enough, they'd burn up before long with that southern heat. Same with another person that tried to grow a banana plant here one time, because we weren't far enough south for that. Some folks just can't get their heads around that though, and think if they tend it enough it'll make it, but eventually it won't.

Texas, north central area. We can get below zero, but usually in the low teens, but we can also get to 115 in August, September, with little to no rain. We do better with a fall garden, we get longer warm days and rain. I've lived here always, just a few brief times away. Totally enjoy watching your weekly podcast. I’m 70 years old live in northern TN and have always loved taking care of my family and home. You share that same love with me and yes it may not be full of high end things but it has been a blessing that the Lord has allowed me to enjoy this and watching your videos reminds me of those times with my boys.

The parasite cleanse is interesting. I have a friend who is celiac and she said she did a parasite cleanse and now she can be around gluten without suffering SEVERE consequences. She still won’t eat it but she can at least be around it and her family can eat gluten again if they want. It’s incredible, actually.

You hit the nail on the head, The Lord who created all things is in control of the weather! We start our cooler crops in February. Also we have always begun planting warmer weather crops the week after mothers day! We have moved 5 years ago across town to a more rural area with a river right out our back door. We still plant the week after mothers day. Zone 8 here. Willamette Valley Oregon. Warm until late September.

Growing up in polygamy is a great channel - they do not speak badly about the families or culture they came from - they are a lovely couple.

Mennonite aren't polygamist are they?
@lisatakeitorleaveit
@lisatakeitorleaveit 2 ай бұрын
@@ArtistCreek no - I know that - the husband came from the Flds and the wife came from the regular Mormon church. The reason I mentioned them is they are so kind about how they grew up and the family members that still belong. They are very good and kind people and they seek to retain their relationships from their past and they don’t speak badly of the people . They are just the kindest people .

No, Mennonites are definitely not polygamists! They know that it is unbiblical to have more than one wife.

Congratulations, Mommi and Daudy! Our grandchildren are such treasures for us, and I know you will be blessed and be a blessing through this precious little boy and all those to come! Thank you for your thoughts about the change in growing zone, especially pointing out the differences when considering annuals vs perennials...very helpful. Will definitely check out the info on parasites. Well, I would be very interested in learning more about your Mennonite upbringing and the journey you and Elvin have travelled transitioning away from that culture. Thanks again for our Saturday update from the Zimmermans!! Blessings, Marie

I will leave the “professional production” to the tv shows I watch too much of and choose to spend time with someone that pulls us all in and loves on us like we are family. Thanks, Ruth Ann, you are like my sister I no longer have here on earth. You serve a divine purpose here on KZbin so thanks! As a “lazy” gardener, I am also experimenting with winter sowing this year. I am excited about it and I have already transplanted a couple of plants so far into the garden. I am in NW Georgia so we are not nearly as cold as you are. I hope you have good results and I look forward to hearing about your results. Lastly, congratulations on your first grandchild!! 🎉
