I never understood why people had such a negative reaction to this movie. I saw it in the theater, watched it years later, and it was a lot of fun.

Honestly, I could never agree with the points on why this film's story could be considered garbage. There's no way the film "switches identities" throughout. I genuinely think it stays consistent and clear with its plotlines. Because it doesn't stray out of line not once. It followed a clear path of setup and payoff, and anyone who denies that barely paid attention to the movie. And honestly, I do think it sticks to its premise Honestly, I feel like people are heavily ignoring the fact that John stated that he didn't even intend to kill those two of Cavendish's men. "That was supposed to be a warning shot." says John Reed, shocked at what he did. I agree with that one comment that said they should've shown John being a little more freaked out that he just killed two men, though. But he didn't kill them out of sheer intention. This Lone Ranger film did what it seems like the others didn't: putting him on an actual character arc into becoming the Lone Ranger, rather than him just starting his story as the Lone Ranger. I'd say it paid enough respect to the Lone Ranger to portray him as this figure who started off weak and came out stronger. John is still holding on to his belief in by-the-books justice even after he ACCIDENTALLY killed those two bandits, so of course he'd be uncomfortable with the idea of intentionally killing Butch Cavendish outside the book. He hasn't embraced vigilantism yet.

See I'm confused why is it a bad thing they made him a bumbling idiot, I'm more upset they didn't give him a proper arc he just sort of becomes good at everything when the film needs him too, I would've liked to have seen a transition, as for him going back to the lawful side I think it would've been fine if we just got a seen of him freaking out that he killed two people and that further makes him want to go by the book, I love this movie, but am aware it's horse shit anyway just wanted to say that AHA

This movie is alright it could’ve been better but it’s not terrible but it’s enjoyable and they could’ve been more respectful to the character of the Lone Ranger

Johnny Depp is part Cherokee and part African, with German and Irish heritage. His grandmother was full Cherokee. He's not "white". This just shows how little research you did for this video.

Peter O'Toole was straight and he's perfect as Lawrence of Arabia. Daniel Day Lewis is British and he's the perfect Abraham Lincoln. What's your problem with that? Not to mention Cillian Murphy is full on Irish while J Robert Oppenheimer was Jewish. He's the Academy Award winner now. Does it go both ways? Why is it okay for there to be a black Alexander Hamilton then? Isn't the point of acting and cinema all about putting aside our differences to see the common humanity within all of us? Being an actor revolves around putting oneself into someone else's shoes. Humans shouldn't play Kryptonians, Vulcans, Elves, and Cyborgs then.
