@@aspenrobinson8797 she tried to make it a positive comment, no need to put her down, it sounds like she went through it herself or someone close to her. The majority do lose their hair, a lucky few don't and yes it depends on your treatment to. My mother-in-law thought she might be lucky because her hair was fine for the first few treatments but eventually it happened. Anyone going through treatment will be educated well by their doctors and nurses, no one goes into such a serious treatment without knowledge. My inlaws were offered psychological treatment too if they wanted it, because it is a huge shock to the system and a very stressful time. My late husband's dad (I remarried) also had cancer treatment and he lost no hair, same with my uncle but the treatment was totally different to my mom-in-law's. I'm from the southern tip of Africa , I'm sure your medical treatment is just as good.

My heart breaks for you watching this😢. 5 years ago I watched my 30 year old daughter go thru chemo with breast cancer. Losing her hair was not only traumatic to her but to the rest of our family. She ended up shaving it off and getting wigs also. She was so strong throughout the whole year of treatments and double mastectomies and reconstruction surgery. I know with your attitude you are going to do great. I believe that your faith in God will bring you thru this with flying colors. My daughter didn’t have time to freeze her eggs before she started chemo because her type of cancer was very aggressive. She was told she may never be able to get pregnant but to her surprise she now has twin boys (conceived naturally) that are turning 2 at the end of this month and she has beautiful, thick wavy hair down to her waist! God will give you a beautiful life with children and someday this will all be in the past. God bless you 🙏🙏🙏💕

A friend of mine did this-she was only 2 weeks into her chemo -and this was 20 yrs ago, so far different to today’s treatments-and her hair was coming out so fast, she just didn’t have the energy to keep up with it. She had similar hair to Delia-thick blond-more shoulder length and she was telling us how it would just pile on her pillow and get everywhere. She took clippers and shaved it and she said she cried, but that it was also a relief. Hers grew back very quickly after her chemo, but she did joke that she didn’t get a different texture like some women did--she wanted curls but got her same ‘boring straight hair’ back, and that she laughed and said she was ok with that. I hope your Mom is well!

June of 2020 I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer at age 30. I was on 2 different types of chemos, I lost my hair, I was so sick. I had drs tell me I would need a hysterectomy and this could possibly kill me. But this Monday I had surgery to remove the tumors since the chemo wasn't shrinking them. They took them out, sent it out for pathology and they ALL came back as benign and the tumors weren't on my ovary or uterus when they thought it was all over them. So today I found out that I'm cancer free and in Remission! And I can have kids! It has been a long hard year but the lord is watching over you. I know it's hard but you can do it!! Just pray and have faith. ❤

Hi Delia! I just want you to know that God is there with you in your suffering. Seek this time to know about His daily graces and mercies. I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 20. I’m 26 and still battling with this, but if there is something I can share, is that God is soo good even in our hardships. If we take the time to appreciate all the daily blessings He gives, we can see past this struggle. I will be praying for you and your husband. You will love when your hair grows in! I’m currently rocking some tight coiled curls aka chemo curls. Look forward to the future and trust God’s plan in all of this that He is working things out for both you and your husband!

Delia, I am a survivor of uterine cancer (2012) and breast cancer (2018). Loosing my hair was probably the most traumatic part of the experience. It's hard. In fact, I went out after my first chemo and purchased a very expensive wig. I wore it 2 times. I found not having hair and rocking a bald head to be empowering. It lead to some wonderful conversations with strangers that I would have not otherwise had. It allowed me to reach people and spread awareness of cancer and to spread some joy which made the journey worth it....at least for me. You are covered in prayer by lost of people, like me, that you've never met.

When I did my chemo treatments it took a toll on my hair. I went in to shave it, and had this amazing hairdresser who also had cancer and same issue. She told me, guess what we can cut super short and I will show you how to cover bald spots. Which she did. I never did have to shave it. It was super short but still. And now it will be 5 years cancer free in December and my hair is down to my butt all natural. Sadly still a bit thin but getting there. Many prayers and lots of love. Of you ever need someone to talk to I am here. I can give you my email. I had my first cancer in my uterus at 21. Had a partial hysterectomy. Then at 27 in my lymthnoids in the right side of my neck. One was 9mm. Then again at 35 on the left side of my neck. Stay strong darling. 💪you have this!!!

I wanted to check on you guys because I watched your video about infertility and it helped me at that time it helped me so much to not feel alone so my heart sunk when I read that you have breast cancer and not only that but also during Covid so that must add an additional level of stress. I wish you all the best and truly hope that this time is over soon!

I lost all of my hair on my 17th birthday during my chemo treatment. It grew back even more silky and thicker afterwards. I eventually got used to it and played around with a lot of cool headscarves/beanies/wigs which lifted my spirits. Sending all my love xx

She is going through so much and still remains positive. Even her saying: “ I can get different coloured wigs, different lengths…” It is really nice to hear so much positivity in such a negative platform. Sometimes we take things for granted and this is proof of it. Delia, may good bless you through your whole chemotherapy journey. 💕

I shaved my head so I would feel some sense of control over the hair loss. As you can see from my profile .. go with the flow. Cancer ended up being the best thing that happened to me. Same diagnosis as you .. Stage 3b. Was told to put my things in order, chemo didnt work .. I'm now 60 y.o . and loving life. Blessings, love and prayers to you .. you got this xx

Dear Delia, so happy to see your beautiful face again..... it saddens me that you and so many other young people are going thru this battle. You are blessed with your very loving husband and families to support you along the way. Tell them everything you need. Do not feel like you have to share everything on videos; just whenever you feel like it. Use your energy to focus on healing....God bless you :)
