I found your video today. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I lost all my hair in March-April 2014 after years and months of accelerating hair loss. I resonate with what you say so much. I put a brave face on it and didn’t talk about it to anyone all that time. I felt so ashamed. Its only now that I realise I need to grieve. I’ve been through so many changes and I am a different person now. I dont wear wigs, I tried for a while but its just not me. I wear scarves, sometimes I go bareheaded. Some days are good all days are ok. I had a good cry. I am not alone. Thank you for bringing your story xx

You are the true definition of "I am not my haIr". How brave of you to share your story with us. So glad you developed self-love in this process. Thank you for letting God use you to share your testimony. I'm sure there are others out here who needed to hear your story. I couldn't imagine what you went through losing your hair. I wear wigs all the time and my KZbin channel is actually centered around them. Feel free to watch my videos for help on how to manipulate them should you decide to start wearing them again. God Bless.

Thanks for your kind words. I just want to help people see that no matter what your situation, you are worth more than what's on the outside. You can be comfortable in your own skin! It's freeing. I hope people will be encouraged to try. I'll definitely watch your videos. I miss being able to change up my look. I did a lot of that when I had hair! Thank you again!

It’s so crazy how similar our experience was, I too hid my emotions a lot for other people and cried in silence instead wondering why me! I had no idea child birth could be a trigger for alopecia. Thank you for sharing, I love hearing how someone else learned how to just be... much love ❤️

I know this is years old, but I want to say thank you. I have extreme hair loss around my crown and part, and I'm 29. I have a wedding to go to next month, and I'm sobbing at 4 am because of this. No way for me to hide it. No medical options worked, and I just have to accept it. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me not feel so alone. Thank you.

I’m going through this now. I am 65 and I feel like my life is over. I cry all the time. I have lost all hope and don’t know how I’ll go on. It won’t be fine to go out bald. I have a high forehead and hid it always. Now for it to show plus be bald, is more than I can take. Glad you have found a way to cope and that your world has gone on. Thank you for the video.

I don't know who you are, but I have been there...tears and all. Number 1: You are allowed to grieve the loss of your hair. There is no period for you to get over it. the process is a journey. It's okay and your feelings are valid. #2: You said that you would not be fine to go out bald. That is your truth for now...but it may not always be. Healing can come if you allow it to. I loved my hair. I loved doing my hair. I still miss my hair. but there came a point that I know longer wanted to be trapped by having to always cover me up. Somehow in doing so, I was saying to myself that I am not good enough, or beautiful enough without having my hair. That is not true. What makes me me, is not the hair on my head, it's who I am internally that defines me. So what I look like on the outside has no bearing on my validity as a person. It's the same for you. But you are not there yet. And you don't have to be. You will get there. #3 I am here to support you. Don't try to go through this time alone. There are groups that you can join that will support how you feel and give you encouragement. I am also here if you want to talk. You can email me at anetradionne@gmail.com if you want to connect. But don't try to handle these emotions on your own. People belittle this condition saying it's just hair, what is the big deal. But the truth is that it is a big deal...until it's not. Anyway, I can really empathize with how you feel. Thank you for watching my video. I am going to try to put up more because I think they can help someone. If you want to talk, let me know.

You are beautiful inside and outside. This is a wonderful testimony / story. I am deeply touched. Thank you so much for sharing this personal aspect of your life. I can only imagine the pain and torture in your mind as you were losing hair over that period. Thank you for finding the courage and accepting the positives of yourself through this hair lost. God has definitely strengthened you and now you are empowering others. My hair isn't as thick / full as it was some years ago. My hairline is creeping backwards 😨 I am experiencing breakage. All this can be for various reasons I identified. However, this video gave me a deep message that I appreciate thank you. Life is so much more than the external. Many blessings to you and your family. May God give you many reasons to smile

That' so nice of you to say. All I can say is that you can do it. Step out on faith one day and just try. Maybe just go out to one place for the day, and then go back home. Test the waters. It's not about not wearing wigs. There is nothing wrong with choosing to wear them. But to have the confidence in yourself that if you wanted to go without the wigs it would still be fine... that's the key. I believe in you! Let me know how it goes when you try. Thanks so much for sharing. Your story is very similar to my daughters. She was diagnosed with Alopecia at all 11. But at age 14 she lost all of her hair. At 16, she is bald, no eyebrows or eyelashes etc. She does not wear a wig but struggles and has a hard time when other students ask her if she is going to wear one to look ‘special’ for special occasions. I can’t wait to show her your video. One question - did you already have your teaching job when you lost your hair? I’m wondering how/if being bald has affected job interviews. I tell my daughter often this is who are you but do you have different advice as someone in her position?
@BaldHeadBeautyTVanetradionne6 жыл бұрын
I can't imagine what it must be like to be young and have to deal with this disease! She is much stronger than ever was at her age. When children don't understand what she is going through, they may say things unintentionally that hurts her. She will learn to separate her emotions from their comments in time. I am proud of her. You can let her know. To answer your question about whether I was bald before I started teaching, the answer is yes and no. When I lived in the States and was teaching, I had lots of hair. However I moved to Canada in the last 6 years, and had to start over with job interviews, etc. For me it was more about the fear of going into the interview without hair. Once I owned it in my head, it actually makes you seem more confident, because don't have anything to hide behind. It's just you. I have always gotten the job I have applied for. And I choose to go into those interview bald, because I want them to see what I actually look like so they can make an informed decision. Not me wearing a wig and then four weeks later I show up to school bald. Your daughter will find her way. She will be stronger for this. It just takes time. If she or you ever need to talk, I am here. Thanks for watching!

I've tried creams, natural remedies, everything. Now that I'm older, I've come to realize it may have some or all to do with the way we eat. I will be trying the alkaline diet in hopes to clear and detox my system.
