This is DEFINITELY the best setup I've ever seen. The only thing I intend to do differently is use a larger tarp so that the open ends have more tarp over the length of the hammock in case the wind changes direction when raining so it doesn't rain into the ends as easily. The sides will also be closer to the ground to block more wind. Thank you very much for the excellent video. JIM

That is the best set up I've ever seen on you tube also James..... For those that like the technical aspect of which rope goes here, which beener goes here, what knot goes here where the rings are installed.....well you get the picture. Some things aren't meant to be done half a--ed. This sort of campsite shows that the person is prepared and has survival skills. Great video dabberty. I really like your style.

Thanks ! For the ridge line i use some 2mm rope, nothing special. Breaking strength around 12kg. For the Hammock suspension I use 5mm rope, again nothing special from the local building / homestead store, with breaking strength around 90kg.

Great video. What size DD tarp is this one? Thanks
@dabberty8 жыл бұрын
Thats a 3x3 dd tarp, but i sold it to a friend and have now a diy hexagon tarp. But these dd tarps are excellent quality tarps.
