also follow up comment. Putting skins on your switch is completely fine and any heat increase is negligible given the heat dissipation is done through the fan.

I still have my very first Game Boy (a Kiwi green GBC) and original GBA, but they have been busted for a long time. Games on the other hand... Almost every GB/GBA game I own now I have bought over the last few years. It always pains me a little to see people check out their childhood Pokemon save files and all, because off all my childhood cartridges have been lost for litteral ages. Some were sold, some were rented and never returned, some were lost... Man.

I feel the same way about my many Lego sets growing up. we moved a lot growing up, but I could have done more to preserve them. now all but one are parts in bins and boxes, or gone/missing over the years. just took things for granted growing up /:

Thank you for sharing. I was randomly recommended this video but it was nice to reminisce. My sister and I had a similar situation growing up, playing games you either saved up for or received as gifts, swapping handhelds depending on what you wanted to play, and trying to use those accessory lights to play at night... good memories. Would love to see your game collection, they always turn out a little bit eclectic.

Clover girl indeed. Nice to see there are still unicorns in this world. 13:20 You should MOD it. A modded Switch Lite is the most beautiful portable you will ever have (after a PSV2000). So customizable too.

It's really nice to see a video where someone talks about their game collection and it's stuff they actually grew up playing! I was fortunate in that I had a lot of great games growing up, but I really enjoy hearing about titles that I missed and wouldn't have reason to go back to as an adult (like Brother Bear)

15:36 I agree. Aside from select titles like the Xenoblade games, I can not recall the last time I bought a game on release. I've specifically been on a trip through the past this year, Xenosaga 1 being the first PS2 game I've ever beaten. It's been so nice to just sit down to play a game, no KZbin or distractions on the side, write down things on a notepad and take it all in.

3:37 that GBA is used uv damaged. Many consoles got discolored over time with exposure to the sun. As for it only turning on after a few tries means the power with needs a cleaning. It's a simple fix if you have a soldering iron to quickly remove the switch cover so you can clean it out with isopropyl.

@16:00 I concur the crowd sheep following hype train dwindles forming ones own experience and sentimentality with a game, story, characters and perhaps introspection into authors creation. I did the same for Taylor Swift music and I could appreciate elements of the song outside the sensationalism of having to force myself to perceive the lyrics and rhythm according to the tastes that a large group of people want to perpetuate as identity.

Very nice video, full with nostalgia of your childhood gaming times. Is funny how players feel the need to personalize their handheld consoles with stickers, and some PC players do the same if they have a gaming laptop... Looking at stickers you can know the history of that player, what he/she enjoy and from what time...is so nice. Take care of your consoles, in special that their out of factory line, and we can't get other new ones. I was always been a PC gamer, but in last few years i wanted to switch to some more "light" gaming, as i have so much projects/work to do and gaming time become more and more limited. 🎨🎸🎶🖥💻 So i start a small handheld collection, and DS family appeal to me as they are way more cool as design than other consoles...plus the DS games library is huge. I have so far, GBA, GBA SP [yeah i got lucky and is 101 with full backlight screen], DS old, DS LITE, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS and one N3DS XL is the Galaxy skin one, and i love it ...that blue/purple sky on top look like a little magic box that will open and get away in different galaxy [and this one become my main one for playing, as always wanted to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3D ] 🎯🎮🕹

Throw the PSP in the freezer (w/o a disc) for 20m and see if it'll load a disc after that. Long and funny story, but it was a workaround for me that consistently worked, once upon a time. If it works for you, start testing lower freezer times. 15, 10 ect ect. Good luck!
