Aileron shaped hydrofoils can increase the ship control, and also in emergency braking and in high traffic if they are fixed to be opened into the submarine sideways water flow. They are currently absent in all ships but they can enable a very high level precision control of ships at all times. They can be used to very quickly bring the speed down, instead of a full helm turn. You should suggest the concept to your captain and also to your shipping company and let them know about it too.

actually - when you think about it... thats what you do when you are in a rowing boat or canoe... you push you paddle in the water to steady or stop. How no one has thought of this concept upscaled to ships until now... wow.

Hey Karan - I have worked in exports for more than a decade and I used to keep shouting at all the shipping lines and their agents for my material, however, i must say this is the other side of the coin and i admit its not an easy life. Thru this video i would like to thank you and all those shipping lines who helped me to take my material to all the different ports of the world, without you people it would have been an impossible tasks.....tk care guys..life at sea is not easy.....i enjoy seeing all this and i feel i become more and more humble after seeing the big expanse of the mother earth....thank you
