I had to switch to bifocal lenses about 8 years ago, I'm 55 now. I still take them off to read things smaller and bring closer to my face. I wear progressives, so it's technically a tri-focal. Hard to get used to. I'll have to finish the rest of the video later. Looking forward to it.

Great news! Yes indeed going really low fat will decrease your health issues for sure and drop your cholesterol too. You probably wont have to do it forever, but for now nuts, seeds, avocado, coconut, olives and all oils are something to avoid. I had medium to high cholesterol when i was eating meat, dairy and nuts. No heart issues or anything, but started having some digestive issues. So I did Dr. McDougall's starch solution version for people with health issues, which is very low fat. And my cholesterol went from 200 down to 147 pretty fast. Triglicerides and ldl dropped significantly as well. Dr. McDougall says to never eat any oils at all, whether you have health issues or not.

You're probably not losing weight because you're developing muscle which weighs more. So you could actually still be losing the fat. That's what I was told. And at a certain point you will have more muscle which will use more energy and then the weight should start coming down. Been there. It takes a while. I was told don't look at the scale just make improvements. So good to see that you're feeling better. Please Lord guide Jen to where she can get the help she needs for her eyes and health improvement. In Jesus name, we thank you and praise you for all you do for us. Amen. ❤🙏😊

Yes indeed this is correct. And you have to eat a low fat diet for the weight to come off too, so now that you are, you should see much faster progress. Jen, are you using Cronometer or another nutrition counter to see all of your nutrients and macros each day? I highly suggest this if you are not. It will show you how much percent of your calories are from fat, protein, and cholesterol. Another way to make sure you are eating the best diet is to never eat out and to never eat processed food. Eat all whole foods you make yourself: grains, beans, veggies. Also, eliminate fruit from your diet if you want to see the weight come off faster. Check out Dr. Brian Clemente from Hippocrates Institute. He says fruit causes all kinds of health issues. Dr. Gundry also talks about the importance of cutting out fruit to lose weight. We were not designed to eat fruit year round. Fruit would be something we would eat in the summer to help put on some weight for winter. Living in the north cold climate, there would be no fruit available this time of year. If you must eat fruit, make it only in season in the summer. And indeed it is a good idea to not even check the scale for a little while as it can be stressful to not see immediate changes. Just eat plant based/vegan, low fat, low sugar (including fruits), whole foods preferably all organic and you will continue to feel better and better.

I do use chronometer, on occasion. Basically, just to see where I'm at. I don't do the "never" thing as far as eating out, or even processed food. I give myself grace. My husband will take me out to eat once in awhile, because he desires something different. Or even at my church potluck, which serves vegetarian food, there may be some things that aren't completely compliant with my diet. I do the best I can, but still enjoy the time with friends and family. As a former church friend once said, I am a "reasonable" vegan. I eat vegan myself, when I prepare food, but if someone else has made food that's not 100% vegan, I don't get all uptight about it. I express my gratitude and enjoy what they prepared. They cooked the best they knew, and I appreciate it. I don't eat fruits often anyways. They are very expensive, and don't keep well. I fo have frozen or freeze dried that I will use in oatmeal or a smoothie now and then. We were given ways to preserve fruit and veggies through the winter, otherwise we would starve. There is nothing growing this time of year. So not sure how the advice to only eat what's in season, works? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyways, point being, I'm doing the best I can in my situation and ask God to help make up for the shortcomings. 😊
